Val grabs another mug and drinks it down.

Val Drinking Normal CON(7): [1d20] = 9
Delay Time: [4d3] = 9
Valorei Save VS Poison: [1d20+1] = 17+1 = 18
Sheesh, took nineteen minutes to down that beer... just barely made it. Happy I at least made my poison save... This 7 CON is like hard mode...

He has a hard time downing it and actually sputters at the end, he slams the mug down, notching another on his score as his eyes begin to glaze over, his face more or less a mix of confusion, seriousness, and just dumb happiness.

Valorei - Drinking
Drinks Counted: 8
CON: 7
Delay Time: 4d3
Elapsed Time: 1 hour, 26 minutes

Dorvar settles into a normal pace, knowing that will be the key to his victory.
Normal Drink (Con 13): [1d20] = 8
Delay Time: [2d3] = 6

Finishing his drink, Dorvar takes another mug of ale and downs it, although he struggles to do so. He then gets up and staggers to the bathroom to create room for more ale.

Normal Drink (Con 13): [1d20] = 16
Delay Time: [3d3] = 3
Poison Save (8): [1d20] = 6
Con Reduction: [1d3] = 2

On the way back to the table, Dorvar stumbles into the chair with the sleeping Halfred. Heeeeeyyyy. Wash where gou're yoing, haafing! and drops heavily into his chair.

Martin heads off to the jakes, taking the time to step outside and get some frsh air before returning to his seat. He planned on nursing his next mug while letting his body recovery from the bumps and bruises gained from his failed antics. The breath of fresh air must have done him wonders though, for as he drinks he finds the ale going down as smoothly as the very first mug.

"Ish it just me or is it gettin' eashier the more we drink?" he says to no one in particlur, a slight drunken smile on his face.

Leisurely drink CON(12) - [1d20-2] = 2-2 = 0 Hoo-ya!

Sitting at the bar with the bow tucked under his arm, the halfling plucks out a simple melody on his fiddle. He begins to sing to himself. His voice is low and quiet, but it appears to be a song about Harrowing.

Olympia puts her elbows up on the bar and leans her head in her hands, dreamily listening to the halfling's simple song while she watches the other contestants drink.

Orrin suddenly realizes that if they can keep the contest going long enough, it'll have some local significance.

"Here's to the unofficial beginning of Harrowing!"

By the way, how are we doing here?

Well... everyone is more or less at the same count, except Dorvar. Varas and Val are at about the same place, still chugging away but they're basically completely smashed. Kennit, Orrin, and Martin seem to be the heavy weights with 8-9 beers and not really beginning to let it slow them down, even if they are all drunk in varying levels of degree. Dorvar came late to the party and still needs to do some serious chugging.

Olympia and Halfred got knocked out early, Halfred specifically actually passing out.

You might be a few drinks behind by my count MW. Orrin is in the lead and dominating the competition, he is currently waiting for new rules for characters who go above 10 drinks. Martin has been the surprise of the competition so far and continues to hold strong , failing only once albeit with a critical failure. Kennit has failed three checks, but has been able to hang on due to high constitution alone. Dorvar was originally one of the favorites to win, but has rolled poorly including two crucial saves vs. poison, still a darkhorse who could surprise should the other competitors falter. Valorei and Varas are largely in the same boat. Their constitution has suffered from the increased alcohol intake and as the competition speeds up, they will find it increasingly hard to keep pace.

Disclaimer: Martin still needs a delay roll for the last drink, a 2d3 delay on top of a 15 minute leisurely drink could technically knock him out of the competition.

Orrin
Drinks: 10
CON: 16
Delay: 1d3

Martin
Drinks: 9
CON: 12
Delay: 2d3

Kennit
Drinks: 9
CON: 14
Delay: 3d3

Dorvar

Drinks: 6
CON: 11
Delay: 3d3

Varas
Drinks: 8
CON: 7
Delay: 2d3

Valorei
Drinks: 8
CON: 7
Delay: 4d3

I was waiting on a ruling from Keehnelf...hoping that rolling a modified "0" for my save might have some impact...maybe reducing delay time back to 1d3 :)

KoC, I had a very hard time not reading your summary in a sportscasters voice. Too funny.

Dorvar

Normal drink:

Normal Drink (Con 11): [1d20] = 14
Delay Time: [4d3] = 6
Poison Save (8): [1d20] = 11

At least I made my save, so I got that going for me. I don't think Dorvar is long for this contest. :(

Dorvar

All right, if Dorvar is going to lose, he is going to go out in style!

Really starting to feel the alcohol consumption, Dorvar realizes he hasn't eaten at all today. Probably not the best idea when engaging in a drinking contest. There is only one way to solve this problem- CHUG!

Chug (Con 11): [1d20+5] = 15+5 = 20
Delay Time: [6d3] = 13
Poison Save (8): [1d20] = 9

Dorvar says, Ghhm, set me anoth th... th... fur alesh, peels! He is not faring well at this point, but he is still in the contest.

Ghrym brings him four more ales, quite apprehensively, but he sets them in front of Dorvar as requested.

Lemme show ho reel dorf drins...

Dorvar proceeds to chug (or at least the best approximation of a chug he can manage at this point) all four ales without pause, then lets out an enormous belch.

Drink 1:
Chug (Con 11): [1d20+5] = 12+5 = 17
Delay Time: [7d3] = 14
Poison Save (8): [1d20] = 20

Drink 2:
Chug (Con 11): [1d20+5] = 7+5 = 12
Delay Time: [8d3] = 13
Poison Save (8): [1d20] = 1
Con Reduction: [2d3] = 3

Drink 3:
Chug (Con 8): [1d20+5] = 6+5 = 11
Delay Time: [9d3] = 14
Poison Save (8): [1d20] = 2
Con Reduction: [1d3] = 2

Drink 4:
Chug (Con 6): [1d20+5] = 2+5 = 7
Delay Time: [10d3] = 20
Poison Save (8): [1d20] = 8

And with the fourth mug, his eleventh of the competition, Dorvar finally goes over the time limit, eliminating him.

varas is astounded at Orrin's performance, but tries not to let it bother him.

Normal drink (7) [1d20] = 9, added minutes [2d3] = 5

Extra delay for CON fail:
[1d3] = 3

Save:

Save vs non magical poison (14) [1d20] = 12

CON reduction [1d3] = 3

3 for 3 on rolling...3.
