I had been waiting for helvorn, but he hasn't logged in for a week (I hope everything is okay) so I'll move forward.Tiglath wrote: ↑Mon Mar 17, 2025 12:27 amGarvin makes sure to save some psionic "juice" to monitor the thoughts of whichever scumbag makes the comm call after the auction ends. He will also want to know if they've somehow "made" him despite his lack of contact with William.terrymixon wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 9:33 pm Garvin can get that they are moving to plan B. They don't have a plan yet, but they'll be calling in some hitters to eliminate the troublesome outsider and his sidekick.
His initial tactical plan is to learn the expected time and arrival location of the summoned "cavalry" and be on hand to make a "personal introduction". He therefore makes ready to move outside the auction house.
William makes a bid for MCr10.25 and the air seems to go out of the three lawyers. They all shoot him venomous stares and are quickly on their mobile comms with a privacy screen engaged to prevent listening in.
That doesn't stop Garvin from getting the skinny. One of the lawyers will follow William and you back to the office where the registration of the purchase is to take place and guide the ambush in. You don't know how many people or what armament they will bring, but it gives you some insight.
"That concludes the auction," the auctioneer tells William. "Bank card, please."
William will pay the man and receive the necessary paperwork. "The address to register the transfer is on the papers. I suggest you do so as quickly as is practical. The sale isn't final until you do. And now, good day."
He departs, as do the lawyers, leaving the two of you alone.
