LoynBearWolf keeps keeps chanting this over and over, “Moradin, the All Father, the Soul Forger, I am of 3 souls now…instill in me the power of your hearth!!!” He throws the bones into the pile, hoping to create a stopgap.

Claw attacks [1d20+3]=19+3=22 Damage [1d10+7]=4+7=11

Claw attacks [1d20+3]=6+3=9 Damage [1d10+7]=1+7=8

Daliedhur

I was looking at the Protection from Evil spell, and wondering if it should prevent the mummy cat thing from attacking me - not sure it is summoned though. I was assuming it was a familiar.
On the other hand I just attacked it, and I guess that would probably break any sort of bodily contact prevention which might eventually be in place. Right?

Daliedhur roared something in the gnoll guttural language, then went on the defensive against the cat thing.

In Gnoll
"Tammuz, this is our chance to strike back!" - the elf roared - "Come back here and open that door so we can get inside and away from this thing! Unless it knows how to open doors"

In the meantime Cinder returned to his master (which boosts Daliedhur's HP to 11/13 again I hope) , hissing at the horrendous mummy. (basically saying in 'cat talk' if the mummy cat does not attack them, they will let it go. Worth a shot :P)

And Daliedhur is going to Parry against the Mummy Cat, hoping Tammuz opens the door and they can both somehow gain some measure of protection in there. Maybe...
Parry means Daliedhur cannot attack, but the mummy cat has -3 to hit against him, on top of the -2 from Protection from Evil (I hope), for a total of -5.

One Short Of A Baker's Dozen
More Down Than Up?
Early Afternoon, Warm Clear

Outside

The Priest in the red robes gives Bugs a sideways look after his comment, apparently finding something familiar about his warning. After taking another minor injury, he seems to be losing interest in the messy hand-to hand combat. His attack falls short this time, while the look of concentration on his face seems to become more prevalent. So far, he remains in the fight.

As the Skeletons roughly carry the unconscious body of Meinhardt back to the level below, a handful of them continue towards Gyb, though the agile Monk is able to stay well ahead of their slower movement. Those gathered at the cave mouth join with the climbers, and together they seem ready to leave this area to head in the direction of the Red Priest.

Inside

Tammuz suddenly seems infuriated by the deaths of so many of his followers, looking at the dead bodies scattered across the floor. He sneers back at Keya but doesn't attempt to throttle him, instead barking loudly before turning back in the direction of the person responsible for all this carnage. Cinder follows on his heels, happy they no longer need to go through the stink cloud to get to the action.

Once there, they both spot Daliedhur fending off a horrible looking cat that is clearly no longer a creature of this oerth. Cinder tries to communicate with its former fellow feline, who just tried to attack his master without success, thanks to his defensive stance this time. Tammuz rushes past them all and grabs ahold of the door handle, pulling the portal open to the shock of a fiery explosion that nearly kills the huge Flind. Once the orange flash dies down, and Tammuz pats out his burning fur with his paws, a dark room can be seen beyond the open door.

Keya rushes back to the cave entrance where he finds something very strange. Loyn seems to have turned into some kind of horrible monster, though one that is deviously good at ripping apart Skeletons apparently, as a large pile of bones is growing around the beastly dwarf. The badly injured Ithrandir is able to fall back without being hit again, allowing Magda to continue firing arrows into this mass combat.

Loyn continues rending bone from bone, seeing that the mass near the entry has started to clear. When he sees a few Skeletons depart the cave, he smirks when he notices there are only 5 more left to kill inside. He is hit again, the many injuries starting to take their toll. 5 dam

Ithrandir drops the torch to his side and starts firing arrows at the skeletons. Hopefully, the fat coating it will keep it burning for a couple more minutes.

Gyb

Gyb speeds up a bit and heads towards the ledge between the two groups of trees. He aims to get there well before the skeletons, so he can climb down without being attacked.

Bugs is sure that nobody has ever been paralyzed as long as Renna, it has to be a record. :D I jest. He keeps fighting the priest, knowing that only he and Stobart remain to prevent the loss of multiple allies.

"Yep. This way is much better."

Hoping/Assuming/Praying the door itself was not blasted by the explosion :P

"We need to get in there and close the door, so I can get this thing away from me!" - he roared at Tammuz.

That is the plan - not sure how mechanically it would/could work to do a 'fighting retreat' (?) and articulate with Tammuz?

The door is still intact, just a little charred.

You can certainly speak to each other while you are making your action, so no worries there.

A defensive retreat will aid your AC (like it did last round), but the Mummy cat is still about to attack either you or Cinder.

If you choose to flee this area while it attacks, you won't get an attack, but you will get far enough away to enact your plan.

Good news on the door :D
Could I instruct Cinder to stay behind me at all times, so he cannot be attacked by the mummy cat? Cinder is not going to attack either.
If I try to flee, it will be entitled at least an attack while I do, won't it?

As you wish, GM.

Keya feels torn, promising to help the Gnoll's, but knowing he's over his head. He follows Tammuz.

He’s not feeling as spunky as at the start of this fight, but is still doing what he can against these undead creatures.

Yes, and yes.
Then I simply retreat, instead of fleeing, and make sure Cinder is out of reach.
