I know, I'm just trying to make the accounting easier.

On the Festival, you said 5p per family for a normal festival, which comes out to 1p per person. But 1 shilling per person for a fest worthy of a knight. We have ~35 families which would be 175p before adding for guests, etc. At 12p per that would be 2100p plus guests. On one hand since so much has been accomplished I can see the latter. Or did you mean 1s for the knightly sorts and 1p for the rest, or something else?

Given the knightly order, having Thane Graka present as well as potential guests from Ravens Well, Spring Keep and Borderton, a 3,000-3,500p festival might be the right thing. We'd send some of the Rangers out to invite the plains nomads and the people on the hill near east fort. Maybe even the hill dwarves, but that would have to start early to give them time.

Thoughts?

I feel silly. The talk about sales is just to get usable cash from the jewels. Simply having them in your Stronghold (the must return to civilization requirement is met when you own a fort) gives you the XP.

You can also spend them as gifts for full value for immediate Domain results. Give them to the Abbot and get laborers and materials for a chapel for instance or gain additional families. Hemia having a sanctuary works like Morwen's labratory but for clerical ritual magic. It has a value separate from the domain or stronghold values.

Its too dangerous to expect the nomads or dwarves from the west. Only Springkeep, Ravenswell and Borderton are close enough to matter.

Cool, I'll work on the XP and shares next. Some extra festival money will be paid to the local families to take the clothing found and make it "modern", so not only will they get the festival but they will get paid for it as well.

Money spent in excess can give you more XP or can be considered an Improvement to show how good it is to live at Eastfort.

Because Borderton is the gateway to the area it will always have people arriving in excess of its ability to settle them. Mechanically each Domain has its own, independent immigration and won't affect the others.

You've been sick and subject to loud noise; occasional silliness is expected.

With the digging up of treasure, is it still possible to convert the found wood to a palisade? If not, but close, would offering an extra month's wages to the laborers get things done? It's not about being a task master but getting the defenses the best we can before the winter freeze. And seamstress-y folk can make some extra in converting the clothes.

Of course, having those catapults will be nice, too. :) We can use the siege rams on the next watchforts and Kraka Grak.

With the extra income I am looking for good investments. The Order's Chapel would be a good win for the Order and Hemia. Getting the palisade would be nice, and putting a little extra cash into everyone's pouches.

The wood still exists and can be used for palisades.

Lord Morphin gets 2957 XP and 2957 coin.
Verdugo gets 2957 XP and 2957 coin.
The Wizardess Darfilla gets 2957 XP and 2957 coin.

CarrieVS, just so you know. Your first two posts are moderated, so they won't show up quickly. If you post in the introduction thread adn reply here then you'll have your two post count.

I know scarik vouches for you, but we won't hold that against you. :D

Hi Folks! I hope we have fun. I am finalising a last few character details with Scarik (and waiting for my post in the roster thread to be approved because I jumped the gun and didn't do my first 2 posts elsewhere.)

I hope our illustrious DM mentioned the next big adventure is going after a super-duper undead of unknown type...

He mentioned nothing of the kind directly, but there's a lot of threads in here that I haven't finished reading. That sounds very interesting anyhow. I'm sure Earnan will be excited to join you on such a quest.

Dramm may not be up for it. Barnaby on the other hand is eager.

But I enjoy how Dramm wants to avoid adventure yet always gets dragged into it.
