Arngeir finds a comfortable spot and settles down. Before his tries soul walking he invokes a prayer to the Elkyri Ylina, to ask for her aid in his search for knowledge :

Percentage: [1d100]=44

A MS, so +20%

He then tries to lift his soul from his body:

Percentage: [1d100]=67

An MF.

Turnip

"Hey, watcha doing down there? Look, I think I found something! Algrim you said they would have sealed the chimneys, right? I think...I might have found something here. It all fits, looks like a deepening, possibly a hole, just straight over where the rooms would be inside the door down by you. There's a huge rock on top but with the four of us pushing together, I think we might be able to topple it. Do you want me to help you get up here? I have a rope which I can tie around a trunk or a large rock upp here."

Arngeir is now a little tired after attempting and failing to separate his spirit/soul from his body.

FL 2. OOC: The rules call for a shock roll, my house rule is that this applies for CF only. A MF just accumulates fatigue.

Idril to Turnip, which is loud enough for everyone to hear. "Sounds good, tie the rope off and toss it down. It doesn't look like we are having much luck down here and now 2 of us need to rest."

Algrim examines the door area where Idril indicated and thinks he can find its outline but it is very difficult to tell for sure, but a quick test on the door area tells him he can't even scratch the stone, much less chip it. Definitely not normal stone.

"What's that Algrim?!" Turnip shouts from above.

"No, not the front door, that one is surely indestructable. But if you all get up here I'm pretty sure that if you strongmen help me topple a big ol' rock here, there's a chimney hole beneath it. So? Any takers?"

She raises her eyebrows in a "well?" fashion and waves the rope from her backpack.

Algrim, Arngeir, and Idril climb the goat path using the rope as a guide and safety net. Making it up without issue.

Algrim looks the boulders over as Arngeir and Idril rest. It looks like the one directly back from the front door is something for sure, the other 2 boulders close by might be something as well.

All FL recovered.

Algrim thinks they could move any of the boulders but it will take all of you, maybe just Algrim and Arngeir if they can rig a lever.

"Lever, okay, okay. Just let me know if I can help. Do you think this is the place?"

She walks impatiently in wide circles around the two as they struggle with the rock.

They find and cut a suitable tree and use it to lever the boulder off. They find rock beneath it. No hole. Looking at it you realize that it has to hand holds cut into the rock, the correct distance for a dwarf to get both their hands on the rock.

Idril leans over looking at the hand holds and suddenly seems to waver like she is about to fall, "It is pseudo stone, strong psychic energy here. Whoever built this place didn't want someone getting in easily."

Passive trigger for Sensitivity.

Looking at it no seams are seen but the hand holds seem to obviously be for lifting some sort of cover.

"If I had a very fancy home and wanted to be absolutely sure people left it the **** alone, I sure would order a door from the Guild of Arcane Lore that would only let myself in. So I don't think we can pick this lock. I mean, not that I have any experience in lockpicking!"

After an awkward silence she continues.

"So yes, I think Alrgrim should try the handles. Who knows, right?"

Algrim shrugs and puts his hands where the hand holds are and tries to lift.

Algrim lifts the lid. A stone hatch made of pseudo-stone. Tapered, the round hatch wedges tightly in the hole without hinges. There is a one-foot wide ledge around the shaft four feet below the hatch. A user stands astride the shaft on the
ledge and lifts the hatch with his back. The top of the hatch blends perfectly into the surrounding rock. When the dwarves sealed the site, they departed via this exit, so they were unable to extend the three bolts that normally
secure the hatch in place; instead they rolled a boulder over top of it.

Looking in the shaft is about 5 foot square with a very rusty looking iron ladder going down at least 20 feet, maybe more. The air is very musky and dank.
