Osprey Palearctic, elven fighter/magic-user
Start with missile weapons at a safe distance, then melee once it brings itself out and is more vulnerable at the flanks?
Osprey fires his bow, aiming for the snake's head, and staying mindful of distance to the beast and avenues for retreat once it charges forward.
To hit with LONGBOW [1d20+4] = 7+4 = 11; Damage S/M [1d6] = 2; Damage L [1d6] = 6
To hit with LONGBOW [1d20+4] = 3+4 = 7; Damage S/M [1d6] = 6; Damage L [1d6] = 1
Osprey takes a brief moment to glare at the halfling Hex, not sure why but he feels foolish and inexplicably the halfling seems to be to blame.

P.T. Codswallop, halfling impresario:
Phineas looses two arrows at the gravely injured animal that crawled home to lick its wounds. In a mock-dramatic oration, he pronounces,
"Beware, foul serpent! We shall avenge ourselves upon you! Let the whole of the animal kingdom know, we are not to be trifled with!"
Then, in his normal voice, with an air of bemusement,
"I only hope the entire natural world doesn't wish to avenge itself upon us now!"

Kragg thinks about using his throwing dagger but then decides to wait for ranged attacks first then strike at the snake after it has tried to strike at the party.

Garden of the Serpent: Round 3
With blinding speed, the cornered serpent lunges forward to strike at
Aric; however, the barbarian anticipates the attack and expertly dodges. While the snake is outstretched,
Aric attempts a downward stroke with his bastard sword. He connects, cutting deeply into muscle, sinew, and bone. The constrictor quickly recoils and prepares to strike again.
Osprey and
Phineas let loose a volley of arrows. Both shots by the elf sail wide, while one of the halfling's arrows sinks down to the fletching into the side of the serpent's neck. The enormous reptile writhes and thrashes wildly, twisting its body into a ball while trying to dislodge the deadly barb. Its movements begin to slowly subside, its tail flickers spasmodically, and the creature dies.
A palpable quiet returns to the tangled garden as the party awaits its next move.
