Tabai "Could you not simply roll the scepter in a cloak or blanket and store it in a pack?" the native suggests honestly.

"A good plan, let us wrap it in some cloth and have the servant place it in a a pack before it vanishes." says Bruno with a flourish.

The druid quietly scans the room, looking for any wounded or stunned bats.
Calto sees that many dead and wounded bats litter the room, for the swatting by the adventurers did manage to hit many though did little to stop the overall swarm.

Grindhelm grunts as he binds his many wounds.

The scepter is wrapped in extra cloth and put in a sack, which Siavel's unseen porter carries.

The north door is simple looking door.

The invisible servant prepares to open it.

- Grindhelm Lorthain, dwarf fighter: 18/58 HP
- Siavel's Panguine Loyal Porter duration left: 18 rounds.
- Siavel's Thrasdrubal's Terrific Translator duration left: 10 rounds. (for talking with Tabai.)

Bruno will attempt to show the barbarian some hand signals and their meanings whilst the spell is still running, so it is easier to explain what each one means.

Good thinking!

Siavel holds the actions of his porter until everyone is ready.

We may need to do some more healing before we continue. Grindhelm looks to be in pretty bad shape, although I'm sure he wouldn't complain about it.

Are we out of healing magics for the day?

When everyone is ready and in position, the porter will open the door.

Leomar grabs everything from the bottom of the urns but the broken marble statue and tucks the them into the pouch at his belt.

Grindhelm the Dwarf

Taking up a position a little further back than he would like, he pulls up his axe and prepares. "If there's a battle here, we are resting after. I'll be more spent than a depleted ore vain at that point." he grunts, twisting around the axe.

Tabai takes a position near the front of the group prepared to fight. Old spear on his back and the new one from the mummy centaur in his hands.

Leomar will take up a position where he could fire his short bow through the doorway when it's opened.

"Watch your heads when the door opens. Wouldn't want someone to end up with an arrow in the skull if they jump in front of me."

Azoth, occultic priest

"My divine healings have been expended," says the cleric of Noden. "Calto, the dwarf is stubborn, but judging from his wounds he could use the power of your druidic ministrations."

Azoth draws his striking rod, and considers the words of a defensive prayer, as Siavel's unseen servant tries the door.

The door opens revealing stairs leading down 10' to a small and plainly decorated 15'x10' room. Faded mosaics of daily life cover the walls. To the north is a well head covered by a square pewter basin, about 5' wide. To each side of the stairs are fountains made of bronze-inlaid marble. The east fountain is cracked and only dry limey deposits remain. The west fountain contains about two feet of brackish water, fed by a limey trickle. In it the white, gauzy form of a crayfish lies on a bed of lime encrustations.

Bruno will check the stairs for any traps that may be present and if he deems it safe, will move down the small stairway.

Calto, Druid

"Before we proceed, let me assist you my friend."

Cure serious wounds on Grindheim.

Calto, the Batman, Druid

The druid shakes his head and quietly collects any wounded bats that look as though they can recover with a little tender care.

"There there little ones. I will do what I can for you."

Is there an urn or something in the room, Calto can line with cloth to place the bats in for transport?

"I don't supposed I could borrow your hat, eh Azoth? Surely you'd like to help a few fellow creatures of the night?"

The druid will humanely euthanize any of the creatures that appear to be suffering and beyond his care.

Siavel nods at the druid after his healing is finished. He then sends his porter into the room and has him move around the area to each of the vessels.

If nothing happens, he has it poke at the crab to see if it is still alive.

Whats with the bats Calto, you don't think a little crayfish would make a good animal friend. He says in jest.

Azoth Al-Aziz, occultic priest:

"Yellow Mist."
The dark cleric of Nodens regains his terrible composure and apologizes to his comrades for losing control, an unforgivable sin in the mind of the disciplined acolyte of Order.

Azoth crushes an injured, mewling bat beneath his iron clad heel. "Always happy to help."

Guys, Azoth is out of healing spells. We should probably rest and recover, so he can further heal the party before the next encounter. Thoughts? Thanks.

Grindhelm the Dwarf

With a potentially friendly grunt and smile, which is rare from this dwarf, Grindhelm nods to his healer, Calto. "Appreciate it. Let's hope it's not wasted." and he readjusts the skull on his shoulder one final time before continuing. He proceeds to walk about 10 feet from the filled fountain and toss in a stone and listen and watch for any acidic properties.

Calto has one cure light spell left bat-killer. I guess we could go back to the roof and rest if that's what folks want after he casts it. We're getting beat up pretty bad for a hearty group though. We've been through what, 4 rooms?
