Once Valorei finishes his 7th mug he looks over Kennit, giving a thumbs up and a very wide smile of his own, his face blushed and his eyes a bit glossy, "I may beesh an Elf! But a'm not out yet!" his words slurring. He once again refocuses on the serious task at hand, his goal of not being the first one out already met, now he only seeks to see how far he can go!

Somehow he manages to upend himself and hook his stubby legs on the bar, hanging upside down with his hair brushing the ale-sodden floor. He lifts the tankard to his lips and drinks the entire pint whilst hanging there.

Sitting on his barstool, Thistlebottom drums out a bit of rhythm on the bartop and whistles to himself. His forehead is furrowed in concentration and he is evidently deep in thought.

Seeing the antics of the others, martins decides to try a stunt of his own. "Hey everyone! Watch this! he cries as he climbs atop a barstool. He carefully balances one full mug of beer on his head and then quickly chugs another. Swapping the empty glass for the full one he starts to chug it also. Unfortunately as he reaches the bottom of the second mug of ale he tries to swallow too quickly and starts to cough and sputter. He totters on the shaking stool and for a few seconds it looks as if he might regain his balance, but unfortunately the previous 5 beers have finally caught up to him. With a short yelp he topples from the stool and crashes to the floor.

"Guessh I'm more thought than I drunk I was," he slurrs slightly as he picks himself up.

Bragar- [/color]Bragar enters the tavern and asks the barkeep for a pint of Mead. Pint of Mead barkeep whats on the menu for dinner tonight. He comes in and sits at the bar.

"Heyyyy Dorvie...." taunts Varas, slurring in between hiccups. "Whassat you were shaying about dwaaaaarrrvvsh winning?"

"Lookit...Lookit...Martinsh doing great! Go hyoomansh!"

Kennit rubs his weary eyes trying to concentrate while watching Martin's antics. When the priest falls, he laughs as loudly as anyone. He moves from his stool to help the priest up, but really accomplishes very little in the way of help, being overcome by his fit of laughter.

"What kind of cler'c did you say you were? If yer praying is anything like yer drinkin'. Your god sounds like a lot of fun."

Val laughs with everyone, the entire tavern now just sitting and watching the rather large group of competitors getting drunker and drunker. at the taunt from Varas to Dorvar Val also decides to speak out, "Martinsh may beesh a gud.. uhm... drinker! But this elf ish shtill in it!"

Val unfortunately decides against doing some kind of trick, choosing that him starting off the competition with that amazing chug can be his moment.

Martin rolled a 20 on his CON check, which gives him double the delay time from that failure starting with the next round. It his him very hard all of a sudden and his body is telling him to back off or there will be trouble!

Still whistling, Halfred unbuckles the flap on his backpack and draws a simple if sturdy-looking fiddle. He plucks at one of the strings experimentally, turning one of the pegs on the neck slightly and plucking the string again.

The halfling looks over at the competitors and grins as he continues to tune his fiddle. "You boys will be floating home, I reckon."

Orrin suddenly stands up, laughs out loud for no obvious reason and starts beating his chest with his fists. Looking around at the startled faces staring at him, he explains.

"Dwarven drinking ritual. Every 10 ales or so, you gotta shake out the cobwebs a little."

The twinkle in his eye leads some in the bar to wonder if he's being completely truthful. Or if he's just finally getting a little lacquered.
