Drudsa the dabbler also goes downstairs for breakfast before doing his morning studies.

The adventurers are the only folk in the common room that morning, other than the innkeeper and his two children, both teenage boys who regard the explorers with wide eyes and looks of wistful longings. No doubt when they have finished their chores they will practice sword thrusts with sticks and staves in the privacy of the small stable out back.
"Not many people travel through here, to be honest," the innkeeper informs Drudsa. "We're pretty much end of the line. We get some traffic from Threshold headed north, looking to avoid the tolls at the border, and even fewer merchants coming down from Darokin. No doubt you noticed the sorry state of the trails on your way up last evening. I mostly keep the inn open serving meals and beer to the miners that work the mountain up there. They'd be in for breakfast this morning if it weren't for the rain."

Drudsa the dabbler
"Sounds like a lovely place to enjoy some peace and quiet time. Are those miners independent enterpreneurs or do they work for someone else? And what about that merry musician you had here last night, is he a resident or a traveller like us?"

Tratiln comes down in the morning after his spell memorization and enjoys a breakfest with the rest of the group. While the children are there, he will recount (emblished and "kid friendy" verisions) of their adventures to date. After that, he will go to the innkeeper,
Thank you sir, I know our party came later in the night than you are used to and it was most kind of you to put us up. Please accept this tip on top of our regular payment for your wonderful services. Tratiln will then give him an extra 2gp.
Tratiln will then hit up the general store to buy another oil flask and another pack of 6 torches.

"The miners? They work for the big man around here, named Urisk. It was probably too dark to see when you all arrived, but he's got a big house -- almost a small castle -- just south of town. He keeps most of the men around here -- dwarves too, if you noticed -- busy mining tin. Treats 'em pretty good, too, if you ask me. And the musician? That's Red Sam. He's just a foreman in the mines, thinks he can carry a tune. To be honest, he can, too. At least compared to the rest of them."

Meagnor the Elf will go along Tratiln to the general store to resupply.

Saul will have breakfast with his friends.
"Slept as a rock, was only barely aware it even rained. Wouldn't mind a few more hours in the valley of sheets but we have a job to do."
While the rest of his companions have their beauty sleep he decides to catch some fresh air and do some shopping.
Before he leaves he'll leave two silver coins on the table. "For the boys."
He's looking for two oil flasks and, since he's a bit calmer now, if available, he'll buy a cure light wounds potion. He doesn't think his wounds warrant wasting one of his friends' potions or their spells but he might as well take care of himself.
If there is time he'll take Castanha to the blacksmith to see if her shoes are ready for a few more days travel.

No potions are available, though everything else the adventurers search for is. The blacksmith opines that the horse's shoes have plenty of life left in them, though he would be happy to sell Saul a new set if he was looking to spend some money.

Drudsa the dabbler
"I am glad to see a town with decent folk doing well and not facing some of the trouble than unfortunately plague other parts of the Duchy. I hope we can pass by again when we return from our journey. Please accept this as a token of appreciation for your hospitality." Drudsa hands the man 2gp, 1sp and 3 cp.
his daily lv1 spells are updated to Charm Person and Sleep. he's keeping the same cantrips as indicated in the characters thread.

"Thanks but we're on a tight schedule, if they don't need to be replaced right now I'll hold on until we get back."
Saul heads back to his friends eager to leave.

Bregalad the elf
After awakening,
Bregalad memorizes
Light and
Birdsong/Birdcall. He meets the elves for breakfast, and is grateful for Lanny's offer to teach him
Magic Missile.
"Thank you, Lantharios. It is time I focused more on my magical abilities, and would greatly appreciate your help!"

Thordin the dwarf has awoken on the crabby side of the bed.
"Ugh! Blasted rain kept me up half the night!"
To the innkeeper:
"I find myself a little on the short side of accounts at this moment. You run a fine inn, I didn't want to leave with you thinking I didn't appreciate the hospitality. Hopefully we will travel back through here again. At that time, I will make amends."

The innkeeper thanks the travelers for their generosity and sees them off into the pouring rain. The days travel is, to the say the least, extremely unpleasant. The rain does not let up until early evening, and by that point everyone is thoroughly soaked. The only excitement of the day occurs midway through the trip, when Quinthos points out a trio of large hounds with distinctly jackal-like features. They seem undisturbed by the rain, and sit on their haunches to observe the party pass. "Blink dogs," their guide explains, "a noble breed, and a symbol of luck amongst my folk. We must be passing through their territory."
Once the rain has stopped it is determined that none can go any further, and camp is set for the night.

The rain must have contained some sort of stimulating energy, for after camp is made the various adventurers spend some time studying their chosen specialties. Saul quickly learns the proper way to fire a short bow. Grey Jake masters some intricate moves he had been practicing with his short sword, and Tratiln finally grasps the arcane principles behind the
Rainbow Attack spell he had been studying.

Tratiln is quite happy to have finally grasped the spell and is excited to test it out. After a meal of rations for the night, Tratiln will prepare for his shift in the watch and get his gear ready for it.

Lanny the elf
Arriving at the campsite, Lanny sets up his tent and tries to wring out his bedroll. He then approaches Meagnor and Bregalad to start the training.
"Now, you will need to study the arcane symbols in my spellbook as well, but the Magic Missile incantation starts with harnessing your internal magical energy and directing it through the focus of your bow...", he explains to the elven archers.
After the training session, Lanny will retire for the night and take his normal watch.
