As an avid Pendragon player and fan I am also a heraldry enthusiast.Leitz wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 2:15 pm Okay, let's let Morwen, Barnaby, and Hemia do their thing. They'll have the winter, so it might be easier.
JJh is happy to increase the value of the western lands, knowing it will increase the Margrave's prestige. JJh and Rolton do need to work on their heraldry symbols.
In those books I mentioned, the main character got to add to his shield different symbols of orders or awards he was granted. Interesting stuff, though 100-200 years later than this game, IIUC.
As a Knight Errant Ji-ho only acquires the most basic of privileges: he may bear arms (in both the sense of having a coat of arms, and of carrying a sword when in polite company) and he can wear symbols of his rank. A gold/yellow belt is typical. Back home nobles would use their surnames on their banners I don't know if we ever decided which of the 4 ways to write Jing you wanted to use...
All are acceptable surnames: 景 (scenery or view), 井 (order or well), 经 (through or after), 荊 (Jing, as in the old kingdom)
And he does!
It takes a week and £1 worth of reagents per spell level to learn new spells as we discussed. IDing items that you have all failed at previously can also be done by spending a week and reagents equal to a tenth of the spell level costs. You need to roll still so you can fail but your library provides +2 to these rolls.roobeastie wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2024 9:22 pm I'm trying to work out a plan for Morwen to get Ravenswell back to good and actually bringing in money, but I'll make sure to add in those rerolls once I do. I'm going to assume we have a mutual defense pack with JJH's lands, and obviously if JJH wants help digging trenches Morwen can provide some... non-alive helpers to make things go quicker.
