"The closest thing I have to rope or cord is my Garrotte. Not sure it is long enough and I don't have anything we could use as a hook."

"There might be something in the kitchen could fashion into a hook, and fashion rope from the upholstery or other material." he shrugs "It's just a thought. I'm happy to leave if that's the concensus."

"I would like that bow. We don't have much coin to work with."

"Despite our wounds, I still think it would be a pity if we go and leave everything we've bleeded for here for the picking.

I'm even thinking of resting here another day, as long as our rations and water are enough. We could check the kitchen for water.

Yes, resting here before attempting anything with that bow and attempting going through the desert seems like the best option to me. Cyril, if you can, try to learn three healing spells for tomorrow, instead of one fear spell.

And we should check that last room."

The Aftermath, Mid Morning

Again Akhilleus reiterates his desire to stay here and check the place over for spoils before returning to Xambaala in fear of scavengers grabbing all their hard earned treasure while they are away.

After a few suggestions about how to retrieve the bow without disturbing the gargoyle, none of them are attempted.

Instead, the group moves through the horrific kitchen to access the back hallway, which they eventually find empty and abandoned. There does appear to be an access to the room with the gargoyle where you might be able to slip inside without the creature spotting you.

"We need to decide now. I see four choices. Deal with the gargoyle. Attempt to retrieve the bow without fighting the gargoyle. Return to the room and rest for another night. Head back to the city. Three of us are in no condition for a fight."

"The first option is a no-go. The second possible, but there is a risk the creature could still attack. There is danger in staying here, but also in travelling the desert while weakened. I vote that we stay here, then in the morning we decide whether to try to retrieve the bow before or after we head downstairs."

"That's exactly my thought, Xenos. Let's watch those stairs down from the kitchen. If anything comes, we kill it."

Damit. It really looks like The Wanderer is out... I hope he returns. If not, please NPC his PC long enough to heal us (rather, them) before killing him

Cyril slowly approaches the spot where the gargoyle appeared and calls out, "Oh mighty guardian of the Warlord's refuge, I humbly ask for your presence so that I can better learn of the glory of the master of this place. Who is the warlord whose quarters you guard? Have there been other intruders besides my friends here that you have been forced to drive off?...or kill?"

The only language that Cyril knows is common

His eyes scan the room trying to spot any newer bodies that might be snake priests or slaves.
