Gorthak

"His name is Netheril. High Wizard in Dragon's Belch." Gorthak keeping composure and trying to ignore most of what everyone else is doing and concentrating on the man in the tower. Then to Buckey in a whispered tone "Calm yourself please. I'd like to try some tact not that your method does not have any. Start in a polite manner and use smarts to out whit the man for information. Then if that fails used strength and threats." ;)

Seeker digs to his heart's content but finds very little. Even the furniture seems to have been utterly destroyed, or removed prior to demolition. Moving to Building 9 Seeker finds a simple structure with only a few furnishings. The dwelling appears to be fairly new. There are several newly crafted wood benches along one wall and a large oval table in the center of this one room structure. On the north end of the room is a 3' x 5' tapestry showing a green field with two acorns above a sheaf of grain. Additional searching finds nothing else.

An hour and a half remain of daylight.

Buckey, Halfling Halfling {HP: 20/10, AC: 12}

Buckey nods sagely, "I understand where you're coming from, Gorthak, and I totally respect where you're coming from, but I also think that maybe you don't have enough experience with humans to know what works with them and what doesn't. They're a bunch of stupid loud-mouths and the only thing they really respect is strength. I bet that helmet-head went to get his boss to get permission to let us in."

He considers another moment, and nods again, emphatically. "Yeah, that's absolutely what's happened. He'll be right back." He doesn't look quite so sure at this point, though.

[Jet Black Helm from above]
Action: Retorts

A small 6" window pops open in the large wooden gate and the Jet Black helm appears. "You would not be so smart if you knew what awaited you beyond these walls after the sun sets, young halfling. I have the entire night to banter, you I'm afraid do not. You would be wise to check your thoughts. You, Minotaur, you say you are an aspiring knight. To what order?"

Buckey, Halfling {HP: 20/10, AC: 12}

Buckey's concerns are COMPLETELY obliterated by the schmoe actually coming to the door and looking likely to let them in. Clearly his conversation with Gorthak is just a way for him to save face and still let them through the gate.

[Esilia Willow – Pixie Sorceress 1] (HP: 14/14) (AC: 10/fly 14)
Action: Whispers sweet nothings to Buckey

Esilia flies up next to Buckey and whispers in his ear, "If he doesn't let us in, I'm going to tie you to a tree and let whatever comes gobble you up whole." Then she quickly flies behind Gorthak and sneers at Buckey.

As the party stands there considering their options a loud crack, followed by a thud, issues form the closed portal. A moment later a ratchety sound begins to laugh from within and the gate starts to lower, like a draw bridge, to the stone block. The massive door creaks and moans. The thing is much bigger than one would expect. It has been reinforced and layered with thick timbers in a variety of opposing angles. Thick heavy steel chains, the links of which are 6" in length, shake and buck as the door comes to rest on the lip of the great gray stone block, creating a 12" step.

The Jet Black Helm appears at the opposite end of the portal. The human stands proud in jet and gold full plate armor. His chest plate is garnished with a great red dragon.

He bows, formally and says, "Est sularus oth mithas. My apologies gentlemen. There are many who would have me fail. I am here with my son. I am certain you will show him a modicum of decorum. Before you enter, you should gather your burgler. HE is attempting to enter a domicile for which he will not return. Brother Smyth is a patient man, but will not tolerate your friend for long."

(Seeker is attempting to enter building 24).

"My name is Gavin Moorehouse, Knight of the Sword. Welcome to this humble abode. My son, Devin will show you to your sleeping quarters." With that he bows and steps to the side, allowing entrance.

Gorthak
Action: Calming down and greeting the knight
Calms down stops trying to muscle his way into the tower takes a deep breathe "I am Gorthak humble aspiring Knight of the order Knights of Samular." he shakes the other Knights hand with immense strength. "I'll go fetch the burglar, I am sorry he apparently is in a looting train of thought at the moment he though this place completely abandoned." Gorthak motions for the others to enter the tower as he heads off to seek the burglar of the party.
