Re: OOC
Well & how relevant to us is the way marker do we need to go to it for some strange reason?

Re: OOC
It already gave you a location (the marker) and its location relative to your current location (x leagues NNE). If you are trying for another relative location I think you could ask for something like, Where is Fili's body relative to the bend in the river boo or something like that. If you don't specify it has no way to know realative to what. At least that is my thinking on it.
sastaz, feel free to chime in on how you would handle it too. More thoughts are always good.

Re: OOC
I think the current thought is that you need to lay Fili's body to rest for his spirit to move on or at least that is how I was interpreting how Turnip was playing it.GreyWolfVT wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 3:10 pm Well & how relevant to us is the way marker do we need to go to it for some strange reason?
Re: OOC
We have an idea that it's near to way marker XXFV, about 10 leagues away, NNE.
So I was thinking of asking it's location relative to way marker XXFV, with the assumption that the answer might be something like "200 feet to the west." which would help narrow it down.
I was then going to follow up with a question about whether the grave has a marker.

Bury him alright so that is what Algrim gets to do.

Re: OOC
Hmm, we have a question spare, trying to work out what to do with it now we have the location pretty much tied down.
Do dwarves get buried with their money? Would this coin let me know if Fili had some of its siblings with him.

sorry, work has been crazy....well you know what it's like....some weeks are just....ugh
As for psychometry, I've always imagined it like you can ask, and get to know, what the coin and/or the owner has experienced. They wouldn't know anything else. So in this case it's reasonable to think that Fili knows the position of the way marker. The way I played it is that the player asking the question gets to see something like a "recording" of the object's or the persons's life. So for example you could get a vision of Fili being hit by arrows and slumping to the ground before everything goes black. A good result would make the background, smells etcetera more real, thus easier to locate. Like analyzing a security camera tape that's a little blurry!
Questions about the marker I guess we don't have to use the power to get, we could just straight out ask Fili?
No worries about "stealing the spotlight"
Also, Turnip did sit down and watch Arngeir so she's fine with it.

Yes, or that's what Turnip thinks anyway.Rex wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 3:12 pmI think the current thought is that you need to lay Fili's body to rest for his spirit to move on or at least that is how I was interpreting how Turnip was playing it.GreyWolfVT wrote: ↑Thu Sep 22, 2022 3:10 pm Well & how relevant to us is the way marker do we need to go to it for some strange reason?
