Well with the cost of things just to live in some states now I had to make a change to be able to afford things. Plus I really needed a job that has opportunities. I want to learn new skills and keep my tech skills and knowledge sharpened working in a public school system underpaid and given no real options for learning new things or working in a structured tech department I'm kind of not in a good place. In more than one way. So I finally got a win, got someone that liked me enough to make and offer. They have everything I was looking for. Plus according to what I am reading in benefits, they really actually care about their employees not just Teachers like the school.

That is excellent news. There is a difference between a job and career. Much better to be the in the later.

Thank you!
And yes, Rex that is exactly the case. I've been on the search for a "career" for a long time. Never though that would be so hard in my line of work. Technical Support supposedly a high paying career not in this state, or perhaps just not in certain places of work.

I am glad that you found something that is a better fit and has better pay. It can be a struggle to find that and it really sucks.

Great news, Ed.
The school system in NC doesn't give three shits about their employees, and that goes double for the county I live in; I retired in January, so thank God I'm done with all of that! And my friend who is tech support at our school, was told a few weeks ago that central office is doing away with those positions and that he would either be assigned to central office or could return to the classroom; he's been tech support for about 20 years.
Retirement is pretty sweet and I highly recommend it if/when you can do it.

But...I also start a new part-time job in May, working in a local record store. And I'm as happy as a pig in shit.

Thanks, Gary.
Yes Retirement something I will look forward to, once I can if it is still a thing in 20-25 years. I'd probably still find something part-time. Maybe a gaming hobby shop if those are still a thing by then.

I have a few more years (12+) before I can think about retirement. Assuming no changes as Ed said. Doubtful any changes would be positive but there is always hope.

Alright so I forget exactly where we were but I think it was still facing at least one guard in combat. But I didn't really make any moves for any of the NPCs. I'll try and just resolve the combat quickly to move on.

You are correct, there is 1 guard left. Sounds like a plan.

Just an FYI, with the change of jobs I have been filled with a day of meetings and training videos so haven't had a ton of time for actively checking other things. So my posting maybe a bit more erratic until I get the new schedule and trainings out of the way.

Thanks for posting early chaps. But there is a bit more detail added now and a map (start of one) that stairwell is much shorter than it really is just say about three times what you see on this map is how long the stairwell decent was. Roughly.

I have recently 'Re-Mastered' a Roll20 game from 6 years ago, when a fellow in a Facebook group, I think AD&D Uncensored, wanted to DM, "N4: Treasure Hunt: For levels 0-1". I saw that the tokens and some maps disappeared and macros were outdated.
So I redid the maps in Worldographer: Dungeonographer, put in new monster tokens, added in more module content, and made new dice and spell macros and even made sheets for the pre-gens.
GreyWolfVT, was once a player in that game!
If anyone ever wants to run it, I can make a copy of the 'Re-Mastered' game and you can use it for here as a play-by-post or live Roll20 game.
One could even up the levels and drop it into their current campaign. There are two locations that feature a whole battalion of either Orcs or Goblins for players to stumble onto!

Sounds interesting. I played N4 on here I think, but I can't remember who the DM was.

You know I think I reemmber that on here as well Rex. Can't recall who the DM was either. Yes Pyro I was indeed in your game. Though I think I was more than one character as I did have a knack for getting killed as I recall.
