I don't think so, I don't have shield listed as a proficiency. Orgoth is just a straight fighter.

Thanks. I didn't want to find out mid-combat that I had messed up. If it was needed, if have dropped spear/javelin.

Orgoth has lived off spear/javelin and shield. Been a good combo for him except for my poor rolling of course.

I wish that were true. I am a poor roller with almost all of my characters but I have one in the Dooms of Evisath game (Conwena) who seems to be a killing machine.

Indeed. I seem to get my good rolls there and my starts without numbers games exclusively. Dorath has unicorn stats.

Conweena has decent stats but nothing spectacular. But in combat I have rolled very well for her so she seems to be really good.

I've got only one character with good rolls. I think my total average among all of my characters is something around 9. Not kidding.

For those asking. I used to drive a HGV truck before I went in to semi retirement. Now the local church and community project have been filling a trailer with medical aid and have asked me to help transport it to Poland for forwarding on to the Ukraine crisis. So that is what I was preparing over this weekend and next weekend with a view to take a week out after May bank holiday to be one of the drivers.
