It's good of you to say-so, but.. .
I think it's Erica that's taken Frank for the mug and it's her team that's in the North garden. The last bit is speculation based on the fact that Erica's squad is the only
known squad around.
It doesn't matter, Patch will be here soon and it'll be time to surrender. We can't take on the Outworld Coalition, I'm hoping we can negotiate the safe passage of the delegates and SEMC.
Pardon my saying this. While I think Erica has the skills and brains to do so, I hope you're wrong. That would put Prerna in a really bad position, and it would surprise both Jakob and I. Which isn't to say it's not true, but I'm hoping not.
Also, unless I've missed a lot, we won't really have to surrender. If I understand correctly, outworld concerns don't want an Imperial win here. If they attack us, the Imperium can snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. The Imperial delegation lost their bid, so would normally go home. If some group attacked afterwards, then it'd be very easy to fan pro-Imperium sentiment against whomever. Really, any attack on us is a strategic "bad idea"; something Captain Smith would do. They'd be better served by giving us wine and free passage home.

You make some good points. I'm not sure what they hope to gain by this. I thought, with SuSAG winning the bid that things were pretty much done, but looks like life has another curve-ball for us.

Why are we only entering from one direction? We have three other sides available - Plus a Glass Roof. They can't go anywhere? Lets get one of the grav vehicles up top and paste the place - If they move - we see them. If they don't we shoot them eventually!
And we could then land a squad on the balconies

Uh, they can retreat they way they came in, via the water system.

You are correct that they could retreat that way, but just following BackworldTraveller's point we could get down to the basement and cut that off route.
And welcome back / nice to meet you Leitz.

That we can scotch via the room in the firing range. Potentially we could use that to come in or get behind them too! They can't get out of the room without moving. Move and we see them. If they are using magic to hide, that runs out quite quickly.
Or we get one of our drones in
Of we plant mikes and then send in a sacrificial drone...so when they shoot at it we can triangulate their position.
We don't have to Charge (Yep - Freya said that)

That's possible, but it might take us too long to get there. We could come in from the east, but they would have that direction covered, tactically it makes sense to cover that direction. Is there is a route we could take to enter from the west, via the gaurd's quarters? They would be less likely to expect that. If it is Erica's squad in there then there less of them but they are probably better trained than us.

Erica's people wouldn't be shooting at us.

Why do we have a time problem with the guys in the garden? - They are staying put or retiring. We have the other exits covered.
Or we use the guard as bait...They got us into this situation.
A grav-raft over/through the glass isn't going to take long if you're worried about time - and there's no requirement to save the building! The fighters won't be able to get to us fast enough. unless they are on top of us already.

I don’t think that Erica’s people are the opposition here either. It would have been easy for her to hit us from behind with that ‘bot of hers in the last firefight if she wanted.

Another option...cover the guard side and the barracks side...open teh door, chuck some grenades in and fly a drone through trailing a sheet/blanket - Big target, unclear and threatening...They shoot. we snipe from the doors or come in from the Guards side and the roof.

And the rest of the people that attacked (and entered in through the waterway) were all local insurgents (most started with knifes) and then picked up weapons of opportunity. Perhaps they found the weapon.

Decision needed...are we boxing them in, clearing them out or withdrawing and allowing them to move?
Because all this talk is useless without that decision
And we have about 1 turn to make it because the amount of conversation going on here is the equivalent of enough game-time to have someone else stroll over from the town.

you do realise that the discussion in this thread is not in 'real-time' to the IC thread, don't you?

The level of skill of who's in the garden seem beyond the local insurgents, unless these ones are part of the Ine Givar terrorist group that Gaughan mentioned and nothing to do with Erica, that does make sense.
I don't want to damage the glass and compromise the atmosphere, that was flagged up as undesirable earlier.
It seems to me that assuming we could enter via the west then we might catch them by surprise.

Didn't Jess meet a "named spy" early on? That is, someone using a common spy name that Liv "knew".

It's called planning, first there is discussion and then there is a decision once all the options have been discussed.

There is a line of sight to that spa from the roundabout north of the bridge - when the door is open. We could set up a sniper there and distract the group.
And the drone on the roof has a direct line of sight so we should be able to count the number of hairs on their bodies now we know they are there.

Depending on the range, hand or ACR based grenade could arc in and start the party.
