I loved that series, although he came out with more books after I pretty much stopped reading the genre in college. I should go back and read the entire series at some point.

I actually have The Road to Ehvenor, the sixth book in the series. I must have found it at a used book sale or something.

Honestly, I kinda gave up on the series after the third book. It seems to me that most series' start to fall apart after the third book or so. Of course, there are exceptions.

A general notice: I'll be posting around the holiday this week and weekend, then starting Dec 1st 'til the 15th or so it will be a bit touch and go due to the biggest project I've ever worked on taking over my life (I do this thing where I have to do work, for money. It's annoying. ) though I do anticipate being able to chime in from time to time. Basically, all this is to say, don't let me hold anything up if you don't hear from me in a timely manner...

Is the troll big enough for someone to throw stones at it from behind the front ranks without risk of hitting friendlies in the back?

It's still firing missiles into a melee, but the odds of hitting the troll are greater than normal, due to its size.
