Re: OOC Thread
Thank you thank you I hope to be of great service and or entertainment to the group.
I've brought in a Hill Dwarf of all things, but I was close to making a Half-Ogre how fun would that have been?

Re: OOC Thread
you never know right dwarves do tend to be in underground areas more than on the surface.... I'm a sewer dwarf we repair the sewer tunnels and unblock the trenches who knows I read something like that in a waterdeep novel. The Cellarers and Plumbers guild dug building foundations and maintained Waterdeep's sewer system. Most members of the guild were human, gnome or halfling. In spite of their superior skill working with rock, there were very few dwarven members of the guild due to discrimination by the other races in the guild. As of (1479 DR) the guild was headed by Malaerigo Harsard, the father of the Blackstaff heir Laraelra Harsard. You never know there could be a similar organization here in Greyhawk maybe one a little less discrimination towards dwarves.
I've actually had a mildy humorous idea based on this suggestion

Re: OOC Thread
Alright. I beleive i had used character points on the NWP not sure what is left over but bot classes are lvl 2 unless you want that changed. they both should have 2500xp. but the char sheet thing here on the roller doesn't work good for dual class.

Yep... going for the look of the first original movie. Someone made the flat patterns for foam, and I've seen 3 made since last summer on the forums. Enough to inspire me to try.Majik wrote:Are you going old.school?grey_starr wrote:Well... tomorrow I pick up my foam sheets. Re: OOC Thread
For the game - I'm not sure how to play this out... Off the top of my head, I can not think of a way that Benson would allow this random passing by Dwarf into his circle and just invite him along. I would be forced to RP him telling him to move along, and be worried that he'll inform the watch of someone breaking into the sewers.
I am actively trying not to make Benson a "leader" for the group so that his "morals" create less issues for the group - cause it allows me to wait for the others to interact before he gives his honest opinion.

Re: OOC Thread

Re: OOC Thread
It is one of those game situations where character behaviour takes a lapse.
Any new group member needs to be assimilated as quickly as possible.
Which I know you agree with.
So It's best to take a leap that is out of character.
Or, in terms of my thief logic (note: the dwarf is already a trusted group member) get the dwarf to lead us.
That way he can't inform the Watch, or stab us in the back.
If he is in with the evil cult It's best to have him where we can see him ... leading us through the sewers to an area where cultists might set-up shop.
Once again, I already pre-trust any P.C. so the above is just `game logic `

Re: OOC Thread
I understand the argument being made here with lapses in character behaviour for certain situations, but honestly speaking I can't force myself to just assimilate some random stranger into a group without some acceptance on my character's part. I will role play through this as we go, but as of right now Fezuul is just wondering what the heck that dwarf is doing chatting everyone up all friendly like.

Re: OOC Thread
Fair enough points all around. I will send Strongarm a description of what he knows of the sewers and the workers union.
Hopefully that will give him some way to convince the party, one way or another.
It isnt much, and it may not be enough....

Re: OOC Thread
Well done too.
150xp , to the dwarf for putting himself on the spot just like that. Well see how it works out.
Notice how i editted Strongarm's post to reflect highlights.
not saying you have to do it like that, and dont be surprised if i make subtle changes like that sometimes.
