Agrippo will lunge at the nearest wraith, attacking twice at the same one.

1st to hit 4, dam 4

2nd to hit 12 dam 8

"ah ha! take that you foul fiend and begone". Agrippo will try to be pushing these corporeal figures out through the door. Does he see more of them coming behind?

As the wraith flys by him, missing its attack, Iluq will swing his hammers around and attempt to crush the undead.

Iluq, dual +1 hammer attack, THAC0 16: to hit, [1d20] = 13+1, [1d20] = 6+1; damage [1d4] = 3+2 (+1 v. L), [1d4] = 2+2 (+1 v. L)

Are we just missing Tumbler's attack?

Sorry, folks. For some reason I had it in my head that we'd only had one or two posts since the last update. I'll post the next combat round later this afternoon.

Tumbler backs away from the touch of the wraiths and uses his magic dagger to parry any incoming attack:

Parry roll:
[1d20] = 1

You get the jump on the one wraith that remains. Agrippo and Iluq damage it with spear and hammer. Robert and Vorkath miss. Tumbler, Tibbius, and Ireena—whose nonmagical sword has proved useless—take defensive positions.

The wraith, damaged but still attacking, counterattacks Iluq! The cleric’s armor of faith and iron protects him.

So far, none of the other wraiths have joined the attack. If you can finish this one off, you may be in the clear…for now.
You don't need to roll to parry, but it isn't any better than attacking unless you have a to-hit bonus from strength:
PHB p. 104 wrote:Parrying disallows any return attack that round, but the strength "to hit" bonus is then subtracted from the opponent's "to hit" dice roll(s), so the character is less likely to be hit.
Status: Agrippo: 46/52, Vokath: 32/36, Ireena: ??/??, Tibbius: 22/22, Randolph: 4/4, Iluq: 34/39, Tumbler: 24/39, Robert: 19/27
Spells: Log of Everburning (Robert): 26.1 turns

Robert tries desperately to kill the wraith stabbing straight into the face of the thing. "Die you foul wraith!"

Scimitar +1 to hit[1d20 +1] = 15+1 = 16 Damage[1d8+1] = 1+1 = 2

Vorkath, paladin

"Let thy Light guide me," intones the Sword of the True God as he maneuvers behind the wraith, then swings Excommunicator. Though his faith is strong, his sword-work seems to have suffered of late.

to hit 19, damage 7

You try to finish off the wraith. Unfortunately, it gets the first attack. It flies at the hated cleric. A shadowy appendage reaches out and grasps Iluq in the chest! Iluq feels the cold of the grave run through his body (Iluq: -4 HP, -1 level!).

The cleric counters. But blows that would have been on target a moment ago are now clumsier. The wraith flies to the side, just avoiding his attack. Vorkath’s faith is strong, but his sword-work is off; he, too misses. Robert and Agrippo have better luck, Robert with a grazing hit and Agrippo with a solid spear thrust into the foul creature’s midsection.

The shadowy undead recoils, heavily damaged but still alive. It comes down to Tumbler. Can the locksmith finish off the wraith before it can attack again? Tumber tightens his grip on his magical dagger and stabs it at the wraith. The dagger strikes true! With a hideous screech, the wraith dissipates into nothingness!

No more wraiths appear. The next move, it seems, is yours. But yet another of your number is now a little less skilled than he was.
Iluq is now Level 6 with 34 max HP and 41,250 XP. He also lost his 4th level spell, and the loss of level also affected THAC0 and saving throws. :(

Initiative: Party [1d6] = 1 Monsters [1d6] = 5
Wraith: [1d20] = 18 [1d6] = 4
Tumbler: [1d20+1] = 17+1 = 18 [1d4+1] = 1+1 = 2
Status: Agrippo: 46/52, Vokath: 32/36, Ireena: ??/??, Tibbius: 22/22, Randolph: 4/4, Iluq: 25/34, Tumbler: 24/39, Robert: 19/27

Robert knowing too well how the wraiths touch effects a person gives Iluq a pat on the shoulder "Somehow we will figure a way to reverse the effects I hope Iluq. It is a most unsettling feeling though and I know all too well." he then sets to searching the accountants (what is left of it) office then tests the door in the back of the office to see if it is locked.

Vorkath glances about the chamber before moving to the door with the others.

Iluq places a hand on his chest, where the wraith attacked him, and utters a silent prayer before heading over to the rest of the group.

I'll change the character sheet.

Robert "We could use the desk to block the front door and we can explore the door in the back of this office."

Iluq will help with the desk or any other object as they try to secure the area.

Robert helps move the desk as it was his idea. "We might be able to use some of the bookcases as well."

Iluq looks over to the bookshelves, "Well... we may find one or two that are not burned through. The rest? I doubt that they would hold much."
