Yeah, I've had the "opportunity" to experience at least 3 1/2 of the 4 seasons since Saturday! I'm jealous!

Sorry for being a flake this week! My wife goes in for surgery tomorrow. It should be a one day thing, but I expect to be offline until sometime Sunday, at least.

Thanks, she came home Friday night and finally seems to have shaken off the brain fog this morning (she and anesthesia don't have the greatest track record). She is resting comfortably and in bed, binging supernatural and being waited on. Already backing off on the pain killers a bit. :)

...What is FA 2? Inquiring minds want to know!

FA = Fighting Ability

It is basically the "level" at which a fighting character attacks.

It is the driving factor of each classes Combat Matrix.

Dare I compare it to......THAC0? :? :lol:

Every character has a Fighting Ability based on class and level. It is listed on the same chart as XP requirements. The higher the better. It can be used with the Combat Matrix along with your targets AC to determine if you hit or you can add your d20 roll and all your attack modifiers, FA, and targets AC and if the result is 20+ you hit. Since the player doesn't always know what their targets AC is this falls to the DM so we don't need to worry about it. I am not sure which method OM uses but they work out the same so it really doesn't matter.

Got it. Thanks! It's been a while since I've cracked open the rules. Who knew Cyril has an FA, TA and CA!

Sorry, unconscious again.

I'm not sure if making a habit of almost carking it is a good thing or bad thing.

I just need those XP for 3rd Level, so close.

Hey gang.

I got some pretty horrible news from my doctor regarding cancer in my left kidney. It is apparently early stage, but we won’t know exactly how bad until they get in there and look around. (scope scheduled for next Friday)

This obviously feels like a swift kick to the junk for me at the moment, so I hope you will understand if I take a little downtime to process it all.

I can say the prognosis is good, since they caught it early, so no need to freak out or anything. I just don’t feel overly creative mentally at the moment.

I’m not going anywhere long term. (you guys ain’t getting off the hook that easy ;) ) I love this place and all the great folks I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and gaming with here over the years. I intend to continue killing orcs with all of you for years to come, once I get this sorted.

Oh, so sorry to hear that. Just take the time you need. I certainly enjoy playing with you a lot, so here's to hoping for many many more years of that.

Oh my! My prayers that it turns out as innocuous as possible! Yes, definitely take the time you need. Cormag needed to see a barmaid about stuff anyway. :D
