Perhaps, Sir Foxrell, the Lord Korthos you serve, or you yourself would be in a position to provide a first aid kit for me, or other necessary provisions? I have almost nothing at the moment but my skills, honor, and loyalty. Otherwise, I come to join you as I am, at my own peril."

Golgarth

"Well provisions and wine we have aplenty. I am sure the Moor holds good hunting too
in exotic bushmeat. I can cover an extra 1st Aid Kit. They are quite basic but the spider silk bandages do promote healing of open wounds and seem to halt the spread of disease. A wise investment in the wilderness no doubt."

He has a kit bought which he will give to Liebish (+1 1st Aid Kit).

May 9th

Vann Hector returns to the tavern. He takes his room and stores away his amphora jar relic under his bunk.

After an evening reverie of beer and pies, probably a hot bath, laundering his clothes and seeing to his wound he collapses into a soft mattress.

Noticing a bulletin board request regarding a lizardman linguist he seeks out Golgarth to offer his services, being ready to go again the next day if required.

He pays in advance another week of locker room for his gear and stabling for his horses. -42sp.

Golgarth

Notified by the barkeeper that someone has answered his advertisement, he goes to seek the elf Vann Hector.

"Yes, we need a linguist. I am not sure how much parlay there might be but understanding their customs and ritualistic ways will be invaluable.

We leave at dawn tomorrow, from the market place."

Cosmo

keeps close to Golgarth to help him assess the elf applicant if needed - if not, then just for company - carefully taking in everything he sees and hears along the way. "Leaving at dawn - good! Out of the frying pan, eh ?" he tries to banter chummily.

The Brazen Strumpet Tavern

Cosmo and Golgarth plot to hypnotise the village fool Alastar into bathing so that while stripped, his tattoo map may be studied.

you can roleplay this now or after you return from your next expedition.

Golgarth.

If time does not allow, really it relies upon Cosmo's skill, so we can do it later if it needs certain rolls.

Leibish has a perplexed look on his face and adds with his tone increasing with hesitation to admit, "I'll be hanging around until we depart. Taking in the village sights really, nothing more. I haven't much else to do, nor do I have much coin to spend. I am at your service, my Master Golgarth."

Cosmo

To Golgarth, as if hoping for a bit of guidance or direction: "If it is crucial to our current agenda, I will help. If it is not crucial - I will still help, but later."

Sir Dewey

Catching a hint of hesitation, the Knight prods Golgarth and Cosmo. "No time like the present, eh? If you have the spell ready, Cosmo, then let's do the surrounding area a great favor and bathe the man."

I think this can be done concurrently with the expedition, at two different time points. Assuming he doesn't kill us all.

as before,

Cosmo

is completely willing to cast a Hypnotise spell on the beggar, if he is in that arranged situation/location and all the other involved parties are ready and present, and the time is the agreed time. If that is now and here, then he will do it. If it is some other time and place, he will do it there. Or in OOC-speak: I have to admit I am a bit unclear about which of those two possible scenarios it is at the moment. And to accomplish something concurrently at two different time points sounds fantastic but a bit mind-bending :D :?: :?

The Brazen Strumpet Tavern

Cosmo takes out his special trinket to swing like a pendulum in front of Alastar's face. At first the imbecile swats it away like an irritating fly but a few clicked fingers cause him to refocus and then a round later, the gnome plants a suggestion that he should take a bath. It is taken quite favourably and the smelly vagrant is soon in the tub and enjoying a hit bubble bath at the hands of the Pheasant wench and Golgarth.

You manage, after several attempts to make a copy of the map tattooed upon his back and buttocks.

Alastar vs hypnotise spell [1d20-2]=14-2=12

Alastar [1d100]=39

It is while in his expedition that the gnome notices something missing from his pouch. A heirloom trinket, kept from his childhood, the Hand of Hoodoo has gone missing.

please adjust inventory.

I will send a portion of map to Golgarth & Cosmo private forums.

For taking the risk and initiative, take a bonus 25xp each.

for

Cosmo

Looking forward to map details, presumably they'll arrive here viewtopic.php?f=1138&t=11231 ? Or is there a 'Golgarth-and-Cosmo-shared' private forum elsewhere ?

Hand of Hoodoo noted as missing on character sheet.

Thanks for XP.

Where do I go to read/post from now on (assuming of course that Cosmo is now part of a group that has set off for adventure?) ? Am a bit lost among the multitude of parallel threads.

Aha, OK - which chain of events led to this (and in which sub-thread) ? Just double-checking, as I don't remember that action. Thanks in advance.

From posts 325-340 in this thread.

Golgarth proposes to investigate the request for adventurers to join a lizard man quest.
I was entrushted with an item that belongsh to the group...and promished to use it for common good; I cannot escape that oath. Lizzzard I do not shpeak but I will follow where you go." and then in normal pub volume again:
The group agree to meet Foxrell in the Foul Pheasant Tavern the next day.
Cosmo agrees to meet up tomorrow as Golgarth suggests, and will be there at the time, ready to tag along.
In the Foul Pheasant thread:

Group meet Foxrell and commit to go explore the secrets of the Saurons'. I noted your commitment to attend but you did not post in that thread.

You can either follow up your commitment to adventure with Golgarth, Sigrid and Sir Dewey (Secret of the Saurons' thread) or remain in Helix to arrange another adventure. Currently in Helix yet to adventure out are Dalin, Savant, Eldon and once they complete their spy trip, Fapp and Knatchbull.

OK thanks, it then looks like I simply lost track of where to 'go' next. Most likely because I had no clear idea in which thread I was supposed to post next - hence my question earlier today. Thanks for the update!

Golgarth

Hopes his investment in getting the tattoo map etched on vellum from the village fool's skin will pay off.

He studies it in his room and concludes his Helix activities prior to leaving on expedition.

Eldon strolled in to the Brazen Strumpet with the ever faithful Sarge by his side. Glad to have survived his first delve in to the Barrows, the halfling scratched Sarge behind the ear and sits down for a bottle of elderberry wine and some grilled meats. "That's a fine meal to celebrate being alive, but it's a shame Brother Reuben wasn't as fortunate. Perhaps we should return to honor what he started?" he suggested to his new friends. "After a few days of rest to give our injuries some time to heal."

The halfling paid for his meal and extended his and Sarge's stay for another week (-5 gp) before retiring to the common bunk room for a night of much needed rest.
