Re: Quest #25 “The Final Demise Of Captain Stewart Bing”
Give Dexter and I time to get around to the command tent and sleep Seafus. Maybe we can take them all by surprise. Give us a 50 count to get around to the other side. Then send the 3 in to inform their friends. I will step out of the jungle on the far side to get in range of the Command tent and sleep them. We only have a short time to tie them up before they will wake back up. After we head into the command tent start emptying huts. We will secure Seafus and rearm with bows in case things get of hand.
Dex let's go. To the tree where you found me.
To the others when departing.
Try not to kill. Wound if needed but only kill as a last resort.

"What if the tent flap isn't open when we get there?" Dexter asks Darklin."Can you cast a spell into some place you can't see?" Dexter remembers Darklin jumping to conclusions earlier and is leery of taking chances.

Cealwyn Blackthorn
Cealwyn shrugs and glances back to the prisoner. "No one listens," he mutters under his breath with a muted chuckle. He drags the man to a tree and pulls a length of rope from his pack, quickly looping it around the thick trunk and calling upon years of experience tying limb lines, setting hooks, and pole fishing to secure the prisoner with a tight knot. He checks the gag and the vines to assure himself they're secure.
"Stay here," he growls near the hood. "If you try to escape, the jungle will devour you before we do. Sit tight. We're not going to murder you in cold blood, but I do have questions to ask you later."
He glances to the others. "Good luck, lads," he says to Stephan, Alvin, and Paul. "If you step in it and need a quick way out, run toward me. I'll cover you till you reach the treeline."
He gives Daisy, Keg, Liam, and Grimm a nod and a brief smile before readying his bow.

Re: Quest #25 “The Final Demise Of Captain Stewart Bing”
Grimm is surprised by the ex-pirates' actions. When they bring the gagged lookout back to the group he says: "Well. So much for that distrust."
When they begin discussing what to do with the prisoner, he starts to say something, but Dexter estates his opinion before the dwarf. "Alright. I couldn't agree more with Master Dexter. This man has brought a lot of sorrow to the people on this island. I'm all for letting him talk though. Maybe he can make amends by giving us some information. I'm sure he still be prefers to leave, doesn't he?." He taps their prisoner on the shoulder. "But we should get a bit further from the jungle just in case." he finally adds.

Ah apologize, ya'll. Ah see you're with us.
Just tie this fella to the tree so he won't escape. Dexter, Ah agree with you, but we should at least pretend we're civilized.
Daisy moves on with the others, steeling herself for the trouble ahead.

Stew Bings Last Stand
Freeday, 19th of Goodmonth
Early Morning, Dark, Warm, Buggy
The three young men stand back as the rest of the party moves into action. Dexter and Liam seem to be in a bit of a disagreement as to the future of their new captive, the halfling being downright morbid with his suggestions. Cealwyn looks around at the approaching daylight, letting the others know that they have little time to debate. Darklin makes the difficult call of tying up the prisoner so they can resume their plan of attack without further delay.
The elf leader quickly lays out the initial plans again, to which Dex questions his ability to cast a spell into an enclosed area. Cealwyn does the honor of securing the prisoner. He finds that the mans wrists and ankles weren't really tied all that tightly, but the vines used to secure him dont have as much flex in them as standard rope. The ranger uses his own rope to tie the man to a nearby tree, making sure he is well secured and that his gag is still tight.
Though Grimm suggests obtaining as much information as they can from this man, the rest of the group moves up and gets into position instead. Darklin is about to set out around the camp as Dexter waits patiently for his answer. There is no unusual smells or sounds when they reach an opening in the outskirts, and no other guards are noticed in the waning darkness. Peeking in from the very southern edge of the clearing doesn't reveal any other threats walking around the camp.

Darklin looks to the firepit.. is there any smoke rising from it?

Liam
Stays back, waiting and knots a bolt into his crossbow to get ready. At some point, those of us with bows should try to cross the river so we have a hidden position to fire from and catch them by surprise. Plus it will offer the barrier of the river between us and them. he whispers to those nearest him.
Keg
Looks on the entire situation with skepticism. But stands ready and tense as if expecting an ambush. He quietly draws his sword but keeps it low to the ground so it doesn't run a risk of flashing and giving away their position.

Dexter moves in behind Darklin as they move through the foliage. He keeps his sling loosely wrapped around his hand and a bullet ready to fly. He deliberately does NOT look towards the fire pit, seeking to keep his infra-vision intact as long as possible. He does spare a second look around the perimeter, however, checking doorways for anyone who might be within, looking out.

Grimm will try to sneak around the camp and find a good hiding and shooting position from behind a tree. He carries a bolt already knocked in his crossbow. He looks around, also to the jungle, in case his dark vision reveals something moving around there.
He tries to get a position at the SE side of the camp, in order to avoid any friendly fire. The part where 'jungle' is written.

And I believe Darklin and Dexter are swinging around to the west side of the village. Darklin said "The tree where you found me" and that was on the western side of the village.

Sorry!
I always try to position North at the top of the map for ease of posting, but I forgot to include an indicator on this one.

Cealwyn Blackthorn
Once the fifty-count expires, Cealwyn puts a hand on Stephan's shoulder and nods toward the camp. "You're up again, mate. I'll cover you three for as long as I can see you. Good luck."
Once they're headed in, he'll glance at the prisoner to be sure he isn't attempting escape, then quickly return his attention to the three ex-pirates, an arrow at the ready.
"I'd feel better across the water, too, but I don't think we have time now."
If we're at the trail, Cealwyn will move two squares north toward the river and stand in the treeline, careful to remain in shadow and foliage, to grant him a better view of the camp. He'll glance behind him to verify an escape route and then cover the three men as they infiltrate the camp.

Daisy
Daisy sticks close to Grimm for now. She watches the clearing, attempting to keep an eye on her teammates and the turncoat pirates.
She stands steady, poised to charge in and rescue the wounded as needed. Sophie stands, crouched, beside her.

Stew Bings Last Stand
Freeday, 19th of Goodmonth
Early Morning, Dark, Warm, Buggy
As the group approaches the area where they are about to split up, Alvin, a former member of this dangerous pirate band, whispers to them one final warning. "Just remember that some of these guys are willing to leave this rabble like we did, so we dont have to kill everybody! The only thing keeping them here is the strong backhand and threats of Seafus. That lunatic is the reason for the hardships any of you have endured out here. He is bad news, crazed even. Some of the men say that he cant be killed. So, watch out for him when the time comes. We will warn as many of our friends that we can to lay down their arms, but I have a felling that this might turn into a shit storm since many of us wont be able to see very well for the next few minutes."
At the edge of the clearing, Darklin points out the path he intends to take, suggesting that he and Dex are allowed a one minute head start before the lads enter the camp to find their friends. Liam looks across the river, wishing he could have taken the ranged attackers over there before the fight started. With the others starting to make their way in, he doesn't have the time to cross over the swift flowing river now. Keg senses something off about this whole situation, so he stays put where he is, drawing his blade and watching the others as they leave.
Caelwyn and Grimm let the others know where they intend to be during the invasion. Daisy decides to shadow the dwarf as Sophie follows closely behind. The ranger begins to count down once Darklin and Dexter leave so he knows exactly when to send in the former pirates.
The pair heading to the other side of the camp experience something strange in the loud, dark jungle as they make their way across. The jungle floor feels even more restrictive to them than it was on their last visit, as if there were far more tiny roots or something similar spread around on the ground throughout the area. They continue on anyway, not quite making it to their destination by the time their count reaches 50. None of the members in either of the groups sees anything moving around in the camp with their heat sensing vision. The three young men nod at Cealwyn, about to head towards the first thatch hut at the edge of the clearing.
Actions?

Re: Quest #25 “The Final Demise Of Captain Stewart Bing”
Darklin moves to the edge of the jungle along the trail on the western edge of the camp to the hut closest to the trail. (Far left of the map near the trail by the closest hut to the jungle.) Watching Dexter cut through the jungle like a living Shadow. He moves up behind Dexter. Nocks an arrow.
There is no movement here. The fire was let go out, the forest floor feels funny, I think we may be in for a trap. Let's see what is in this first hut. If it is cleaned out they may have run off. There should be more guards than just one. Something is up!
Stay close.
He then moves to the first hut door to investigate and see if they have cleaned the place out.

Dexter holds up one finger in a 'just a moment' fashion. He reaches down and touches the ground that seems to have changed since his last visit. He is ready to pull his hand back instantly if he feels the need.
So what seems to be going on at their feet?

"I don't like this at all," the ranger says quietly. "Be careful, lads." He scans the jungle around him and peers into the gloom surrounding the huts. "This has all been much too easy. They should've been prepared after our last raid."
The tiny hairs on the nape of his neck rise, but Cealwyn steels himself and readies his bow.
