I guess my assumption was that the thief-adjacent skills would be chosen by non-thief characters that wanted the chance to do something kinda thiefy. If it were me, personally, I would spend skill slots on stuff other than what I got for free. I would strongly recommend Riding, at least at Proficient (this goes for everyone). This is going to be an overland campaign. I mean, yeah, skills are in theory better if that's what you invest in, but at 7th level you, assuming an average distribution of points, should succeeding at most thief abilities 50% of the time. This, by the way, lines up roughly with the thief abilities at 7th level according to B/X.

But, if you want to spend skill slots on thief abilities that's totally your call. And by Advantage I mean I'd allow you to roll twice and take the better result.

We've still got room for one or two more players.

I'm interested. When would you want me to have a character ready?

ASAP would be good.

1. Str, Int, Wis, Dex, Con, Cha:: 6#3d6 12 7 14 11 10 12
2. http://orokos.com/roll/732705: 6#3d6 10 13 13 9 16 13
3. http://orokos.com/roll/732707: 6#3d6 17 8 9 11 14 15

You can switch any two score. Link to the current character classes are here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/77hnbkgx35o9l ... 9.pdf?dl=0

Once you respond to this post I'll go ahead and add you to the game forum so you can post there.

I think we're all filled up for the moment, folks.

I'd be interested in filling out that final slot, if you're still looking for PCs, that is.

Set 3 looks like a fighter to me. This should be fun!

I'll add you to the waitlist, then. Sorry, I think we're filled up at the moment.

You've been added to the forum. Go ahead and take your stats over there and you can start creating a character.

I'm going to give Els 'til tomorrow evening to reply, but we are currently looking for a cleric to fill in for someone that had to bow out.

Els:

1. Str, Int, Wis, Dex, Con, Cha:: 6#3d6 18 9 8 13 3 16
2. http://orokos.com/roll/734630: 6#3d6 13 13 9 10 7 16
3. http://orokos.com/roll/734625: 6#3d6 12 14 9 10 15 8

As per the house rules you can choose one set and swap any two scores. The PC that backed out was playing a cleric; that's not to say that you have to play a cleric, though! The class document has been updated by the way to include the dervish, a sort of militant cleric.

Figures the set you gave him with an 18 also has a 3.

I would take that set anyway and swap the 3 with the 16 CHR.

Get used to my PC's halitosis and body odor, folks!

I'm going to take the first set (obviously), and switch the 18 with the 9.
I've got a cool concept for a sickly wizard obsessed with his own mortality that totally won't be trying to turn himself into a lich to avoid death at some point.

Okay! It looks like the party will need to rely on henchmen for healing, which is fine! You've been added to the game thread. Go ahead and transfer your stats to the character creation thread and I'll roll out hp, gold, and starting items.

Els has failed to respond and get a character up. We're looking for one more character to join the intrepid party.
