I hate to play "what if" games- but do you suppose we would have done better going UP, rather than down? Of course, that would have left all this crap behind us....

Well, we definitely shouldn't have taken our repose in a dead end. My fault on that one!

I blame Chaka for that blown leap across the water.
If only he wasn't so afraid of getting his fur wet!

At least that monster is gone. Tullia tried her best to save some of the party.

Nicely done, Spinward! At least you got that sucker before you... um... turned into a booger.
I had a feeling running south was a bad idea, but Fiefo had just woke up. He wasn't thinking clearly. At that point we were already pretty much cornered, anyway.
Re: The Gamesters of 'Earth That Was' (ooc and questions ll)
Thanks for playing. I really enjoyed your interesting character concepts and portrayals. Great stuff. Really well done.
Again, apologies for the TPK. Like I said before, this module is even more merciless and unforgiving than I thought. In reading ASE1, I knew it was tough, so I let PCs start this first level module at 2nd level with full HPs for both levels. To no avail. A few innocent missteps, some bad rolls, and the whole thing quickly went sideways. Sorry.
I love this module's world, and the whole pop-culture sci-fantasy genre. But it's a really tough adventure. So, despite Xygax's feelings on the matter, I've decided against running ASE1 again. If I start a third game, I'll definitely let you guys know.
Thanks again for playing.

I HAD A GREAT TIME. Thanks for running, Inferno.
If only Fiefo's fork had worked from the beginning! (Instead of just one epic jab at the end.)

It was a exciting run, even if our characters didn't survive. I liked the combination of AD&D rules and science fiction elements. Thanks!

Thanks, Inferno! If you change your mind about this one, save me a spot. In fact- I'm requesting a spot in the next game you run, sight-unseen.

Thanks everyone.
Spin: If you like scifi D&D, you should try 'Mutant Crawl Classics' or 'Gamma Zone;' both have rule systems close to D&D, and MCC is running here on Unseen Servant. Also, the classic D&D modules, 'Expedition to the Barrier Peaks' and 'Temple of the Frog,' if they ever get run here again.
Wolfpack: It was a mashup of three modules and lots of homebrew elements of my own. 'Isle of Dread' was used for the island and some of its encounters. 'In Search of the Unknown' was the upper dungeon. DM customization is central to that classic module, so I customized it to include all the scifi monsters of my youth. Or I should say, Xygax did. As you saw from the cyborg abomination, Sleestaks, Klingons, Frankenstein and his bride, and others were yet to be encountered there. The lower dungeon was all 'ASE1,' which was meant to be the rest of the game, alas.
Thanks, Urson. You got it!

Thanks for running the game, Inferno!
I wish Chaka could have eventually ran into Holly, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be.
Good times, man!

It's Alive!
Once and Future Earth is alive! Rebooted! Reloaded! Reborn!
Welcome back, everyone. I've really missed this game. I was crazy to let it end over a silly little thing like a TPK.

Everyone, let's please give a warm post-apocalyptic welcome to Captain Kinkajou, Scott308 and Yrkoon, new players to the game!
Once their character sheets are complete, we'll be ready to go.
