Mission 3 , which unfortunately is missing from the Completed Mission board, went up the same trail. We all almost died of thirst, so more water would be wise. Wes does have Create Water now, which he didn't have back then

We can if you like, but it isn't actually necessary. The skins are 1 gold each at the Hi-Lo.

Mission 3 can be found here if you need to take a look at something.

It says I'm not authorized to read it.

Well, that is confounding.

I remember when this game first started out and I had an issue with moving one of the copied mission threads to the completed file. I think this one might have been the culprit.

I just tried moving it back into the completed mission thread if you want to see if that worked for you. If not......I have no idea how to fix it.

Luther

Luther is a bit fidgetty after his days off. He makes sure his pack is settled comfortably, nocks an arrow in his bow, and otherwise preps to go. Hope we kin make some distance before the sun gets too high.

The marching order is fine by me.

Monocar

Rushes off to get another waterskin and 12lbs of rations from the cookfires to make for an even 14 days of food.

Gold deducted for extra water skin. Do I need to pay for the rations as well?

Brother Gilbert

He quietly goes about preparing for the trip. He buys extra rations, and gets an extra water bag.

Since we brought so much stuff back from the spider adventure, I assume there might be a few spare water containers amongst the gear.

Actually, no. The remaining items from the spider adventure is on Avaala's page, under "Notes" in "Stored Gear". But no waterskins remain.

Its nice to see so many players worrying about dying of thirst.

Remember that Wes and Brother Gilbert can Create Water if things get really bad.

Yes, Wes can create 30 gallons with each spell. If somebody brings a bucket with a few holes in the bottom we could rig up a nice warm shower at the end of each day :D

Granted, but every Create Water we use is one Cure Light Wounds we no longer have. :-D

(And pardon that rhetorical "We". Avaala ain't casting either of those spells!)

I once read "If you are relying on your druid to provide healing, you're doing something wrong" :)

And that is why Brother Gilbert is along. He is a nice, calm cleric who wants people to be healthy.

I am going to push this one out of the gate so we can see where it goes. Go ahead and finish up any town items that are still active while we begin.

Seeking Out The Jungle Priest
Starday, the 13th of Goodmonth
Mid Morning, Rainy, Warm, Slightly Less Buggy

Certain that his flock will be in good hands while he is gone, Wes the druid sets out into the jungle with a large group of his friends to seek out this alleged evil cleric. The weather seems as gloomy as their objective once they start their long trek, with a steady rain falling upon them the entire trip. Wes looks to the trees often, hoping to spot Chwee or any of the other phanaton. He hears commotion in the canopy several times, but he doesn't spot any of the tree dwellers along their journey.

After about 4 hours of marching, seeing only normal jungle activity and glad that the bugs aren't as bad in the rain, the group finally spots something interesting up ahead on the trail. Wes and Chauncey remember this area as the place their splinter group went west into the jungle following a well used trail nearly a month ago now. However, the head of the trail looks a little different to them this time.

There are 4 tall, grey standing stones positioned at the entrance to the trail now, and the ground around this area is heavily trampled by boot prints. The man sized stones straddle the trail head, 2 on each side, but there are no visible markings on any of them that you can see from a distance.

Actions?

Wes

The druid wonders where Chwee is for some time. Presumably he will turn up. If not, Wes concludes, he may have to find other phanaton for information about the location of the temple.

Upon reaching the stones, Wes recognizes them from his previous trip with Galanthas. "Have a care!", he warns the others. "When we investigated these stones before, it summoned a group of very angry dwarves, who chased us off immediately. They had no interest in talking to us, only attacking".
