Luckily, Lionel and Roy had an easy walk to the nearby Historic Site, and the weather was nice making it actually very pleasant. When they arrive at the Historic Site, the grounds are open and sunny. There are a couple of staff members walking about doing their rounds along with a smattering of tourists but overall the Busters can tell that it would be easy to work and likely never have to interact with the public is they so wanted. So more or less, they had the grounds to themselves.

Roy brings his cellphone. Unsure on weather to grab a proton pack and trap from whatever vehicle they arrived in. "So where is that list from Joker?" he asks Lionel.

Carrying just his phone (and anything else he may need to capture the data Joker requested), Lionel enjoys the walk to the Old Courthouse. Joker didn't send it to you? All right, I'll bump it to ya.

Luckily, their phones alone, though limited in range, can do PKE work. Having been already reconfigured for this area, especially after Roy's repairs on them earlier, the phone open and show a lot of ambient readings as before, but there seem to be more than a few hotspots nearby.

Hot Spots:
The Gallows
The Courthouse/museum
A few more north and west of where you are now.
A larger area to the south.

This is based mostly on directional information, kind of like using a metal detector.

Roy sends the PKE readings to Joker that he and Lionel have found at the historical site.

When we were here before, it was night and the buildings were closed. I'd like to go check out the courthouse and museum first since they are open. Everything else we can get after hours if we need to.

Roy nods his head in agreement. "Alright. Courthouse sounds dull but the museum ought to be interesting."

Dull? Not if we find evidence of ghostly activity. Remember, we're not your typical tourists going through here, listening to a tour guide drone on about history. Many people were put to death in this area, having been sentenced in this courthouse. Seems like somewhere a spirit might hang around.

They make their way towards the courthouse where the museum is located. One of the workers is walking out and waves a greeting. Hello, there. May I help you?

The youngish ranger smiles friendly enough.

Hi there...Cody! My friend and I were interested in checking out the courthouse and museum. Anything you can tell us about the history of this place? Anyone ever report anything...unusual occurring around here? With all the hangings over the years, maybe there are gho-o-o-o-osts hanging around. He wiggles his fingers and laughs as he draws out the word ghosts, trying to make it seem like he's jokingly putting a spooky emphasis on the word.

Roy shakes his head agreeing as Lionel talks and tries to add his wiggling fingers to add to the jokingly part of spooky.

Cody smiles and nods. I thought that was who you were. I remember seeing you on the news when you were all down at the church off Cavanaugh. So is this and official visit or are you wanting the tourist experience? I can hook you up either way.

Lionel chuckles. I guess I don't go undercover as well as I thought. Really, though...pretty much what I asked you. We're not here on anything official, but our sensors have picked up something in the area. If we can get a bit of a tour and a little history, especially if it involves people claiming to have experienced possible ghostly contacts would be great. Especially if it leads us to places normally off-limits to the public, since those would be areas we would be less likely to check on our own.

Cody Chuckles. Well, this is Fort Smith... the actual are where the forts were... What is Fort Smith without a few ghost stories? I guess I would be more surprised if you didn't get a reading. I guess it is all about where you want to start. People have claimed to see ghost at the gallows, around the old forts, the officer's quarters, the courthouse around back. Heck, some had claims to hear and see things in the jail here too. Some other down where the old ferry used to be claim to see the ghost of Indians, and don't get me started about ghosts on the grounds. You get everything from Post Revolution to Civil War ghost sightings out there. he points in the general direction of the parade grounds where the massive American flag is being raised.

Roy admits "Well some of that tracks with our readings then we did get some readings for The Gallows
The Courthouse & museum as well as a couple other spots here."
