Tullia

Damn, if that is an outhouse, it's not for any beings I know of. Anyone got a towel? Let's get them cleaned off.

The effect of the goo is quite disturbing to her.

Garamond, being unfamiliar with the phenotypes demonstrated by the rest of the party in this strange new world, is unsure if the behavior of Jeojand and Adrock is typical or not. However, when Tullia asks after a towel, the biblio-borg knows exactly how to respond. It dashes into the shower and sweeps up whichever party member is closest and carries them out in its arms. Outside the egg, it looks deeply into the other's eyes and—ignoring any writhing, screaming, or mutating—says in a deep-but-trembling voice "You're soaked to the bone. Let's get you out of these wet clothes and into something more... comfortable."

Maskelyn

Hearing the commotion, Maskelyn runs to help his team-mates. He dumps about half of his water onto LL, then pulls out an empty sack and begins wiping the muck off.

Don't panic, friend. We'll take care of this- you're OK. Maskelyn's voice is the calm, relaxed tone familiar to every first repsonder.

"Mrrawr!" Jeojand leaps out of the baptismal egg, shedding his clothing and clawing at the slithering ooze.

Chaka isn't sure what has just happened. He jumps back into the room with the others and is startled to see the green ooze covering his friends.

He drops his pack and gets a torch lit, in case a fire is necessary.

If the inflicted ask the little ape-boy to use the flame upon them, he doesn't hesitate.

Beneath the Dead Wizard's Skyscraper
Forbidden Island of Xygax the Wizard, Land of One Thousand Towers
Day Three. Midday, March 27th, 912 CY

Adrock screams in terror as he feels the emerald ooze altering his very being. He staggers from the gigantic egg, back into the octagonal chamber, shrieking, finding no torch or lantern alight!

Jeojand lunges out of the baptismal pod, howling, shedding his clothes and clawing at the slithering, living muck!

Garamond grabs Adrock and some of the writhing slime transfers onto the electric bard!

Chaka frantically gets a torch alight and burns the rippling slime from Adrock and Jeojand! Maskelyn almost douses the torch with his water before wiping away what he can with empty sacks which are in turn consumed!

Panting and trembling, Adrock and Jeojand are free of the voracious green monstrosity, and believe their bodies are unchanged.

But Garamond watches in horror as the quivering amoeboid on him begins to eat away his iron body!

“Chaka! Burn it off the metal guy, too! He’s got all our literature!” yells Fiefo, urgently.

Crouched on his haunches again, Chaka leaps up at the metal skeleton with the fishbowl brain head, applying the flame from his torch to the green slime where he can.

"This just like swamp water back home. Baaaad stuff! Fire work on that slime too. That where Chaka get idea from!"

Garamond Antiqua, writing in mechanical pain: "To be consumed by the fires... the fires of... PASSION!"

The Gnome gapes for a second, aghast at how destructive this stuff is. Seeing Chaka burning the muck from the metal man, he pulls out his last flask of oil and throws it at the muck, hoping to make it more flammable and easier to burn away.

Not wanting to be consumed by the Fires of Passion himself, Jeojand crawls away and hopes that the oil and torch do the trick to save their new friend.

Tullia

Being at the back of the group, she steps back to stay away from the flames. This is not her area of knowledge, and she hopes the others get the green goo under control.

Folks, next time don't just go pulling levers before you know what they do. Sheeesh. Now, let's see what we can do.

With shouting, fire and oil, the adventurers of the dead wizard's skyscraper burn away the rest of the viridian ooze! Garamond the cogwheel creature is unharmed. (please mark torch and oil from character sheets)

Four hatched eggs remain, each standing agape, silver handles gleaming, and two identical doors, east and north; one open, one shut.

Maskelyn

If someone has a container that will hold this muck, it would make an impressive weapon. Maskelyn drops the contaminated sacks in the scorched ooze. He takes a long step away from the mess, as if afraid it will follow him.

Garamond's inexpressive dome hangs sheepishly as he quietly closes the doors to the other eggs. "You don't suppose the others release other, more beneficial slimes, do you?"

Better we don't find out, Liberry-an. Maskelyn says, attempting to say a word he's never heard, but only read.

Ko-nan shakes his head in revulsion and the foul green filth. He stands clear of it and any other metal eggs.
