Coenbeorht picks up another rock and tosses it at the moving statue, smiling all the way as he does so. The sight of his companions lobbing rocks reminds him of his childhood, when he and his mates used to pelt the passing trade caravans with half-eaten plums.


To hit with thrown rock (Thac0 17): [1d20] = 1

(OOC: Joba, it doesn't matter.....the statue goes last due to its two handed weapon)

Beya, feeling more confident in the party's chances as the statue seemed to be suffering damage, grabbed another fist-sized hunk of rock and moved to within 10 feet of the living stone creature. Hurling the rock; her over-eagerness seemed to have thrown off her aim...


Attack roll: 1d20 + 4 (DEX 18 and short range missile): [1d20+4] = 5+4 = 9

Pretty sure that's a miss, so I'm not gonna bother with a damage roll

The Statue stops, and cracks form over its skin, more and more.

Then it falls apart, the ax sticking out of the rubble.

you look around, and see that there are many "cubbyholes" and then the main temple complex.

Felgorian will start searching the cubbyholes beginning with the upper left, especially looking for secret doors.


At some point he will probably think it best to have help, but that thought hasnt occurred yet.

Letting out a deep breath; Beya felt herself get a bit dizzy as she came down from her adrenaline high; and seeing that the last barrage of rocks hurled by the elf, the Halfling and herself at all missed; she congratulated Sjorvuld for having defeated the creature...

"Um....not that I'm trying to diminish the victory; but maybe one of you warrior-types should grab that axe, just in case Stoney here starts to put himself back together." Seeing Felgorian having moved over to the cubbyholes to start searching; she asks; "Anything interesting over there?"

Coenbeorht wanders over to the ruble that was once the statue intent on retrieving the large ax. He is curious to test if a halfling, even one of his uncommon strength, can lift such a massive weapon.

You can lift it, but it seems to be made for the big folk. You do notice that it is very finely made, with runes and detail work that one does not waste on a lesser weapon.

Felgorian yells to his fellow partiers... Giant Rats.... At least 5 of them... need some help...

He retreats to the main area... (I assume since he was in investigation mode, he couldnt have ventured off far enough in one move to not be able to return back even faster.)

EDIT---AS per my OOC post, here is the earlier roll, [1d20] = 5 . I did not see the result of that before rerolling, thinking my kindle had froze. impatience, I know... Luckily in this instance, the resulting pass/fail was the same.

(dex is 15)

Beya, as she is recovering her thrown dagger hears the Elf let out the call and warning about giant rats. Allthough the very thought of giant rats fills her with repulsion, Beya rushs over to help her companions, hurling a dagger at a rat as soon as she rounds the corner and sees the frigtening beasts coming over to chomp on her Elven friend...

Initaiative (+2 due to DEX 18): [1d6+2] = 1+2 = 3

Attack roll (+3 on thrown Dagger; due to DEX 18): [1d20+3] = 7+3 = 10

(I doubt that hits...but let me know and if it does, I'll roll damage)

Ok, sorry for the delay folks, I feel bad that I left you hanging.

The rats only reach a point, and seeing the prey is getting away, retreat back to the corner that they came from.
