Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
Yes, you are at the bottom of the stairs, in the entrance of the statue room.
Wolves are actually pretty tough if you dont have guns. Have you seen that Liam Neeson movie?

Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
"No! That room is not easily defended or escaped. There is another option..." Brother Galen glances around quickly at the doors, "...there! That chamber has two doors that can be barred. I say we drag them in there and wait for them to recover."
Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
We should take them to room where Solaine was dropped by the scarab, it is a secret room with a single entrance. It is defensible until we either wait for them to rouse, or send someone in to town to check for a curative.
Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
Hrmmm... three completely different plans. Interesting.

Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
Quinn takes the stubby legs of Torgyr and slowly drags ( much to heavy to carry!), following Bro Galen into room 3.
Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
"Doing something is better than debating options.". Randolpho tries to drag Zim to the room behind Galen and Quinn.
Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
Alright, so the plan is to drag them to the room with the bars on the doors. There are 5 of you, so is each person dragging somebody, do you want to do multiple trips to get everybody, or what?

Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
Galen will listen at the door before we open it, and if he hears nothing, will get Emm to open the door and check inside for danger while he holds a lantern.
I'm thinking this is only going to take a couple rounds, not a ten minute search of the room or anything.
If the room is clear, we'll begin carrying party members into the room. Once we're all inside, we'll close and bar the doors.

Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
Yeah, listening/having a quick look around doesn't need to take a long time, but let's say the overall process of dragging someone over to the room will take a turn.
Galen goes over, listens at the door, and hears nothing.
Opening the door, Emm hears scurrying sounds, and briefly sees several pig-sized rats race into a large pile of junk in the northwest corner of the room.

Quinn
" shit, occupied by orc food. Too many to chase off without one inflicting a disease upon us. How safe can we make the hallway?"
Quinn drops Torgyrs' legs and tries to make him comfortable, propping his head up using his poncho as a pillow. "maybe they are only paralysed not deaf or blind...eh Torgy, if you don't wake soon I'll trim yer beard off....!Quinn makes a few scissor signs in front of his eyes.

Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
The doors to this room can be barred, if you have things to do that with (as you saw with the orcs who barred it with spears) or you could spike some/all of the doors.

Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
"They're just rats. Big ones for sure, but just rats. We leave them alone, they leave us alone." Emm helps carry the fallen members of the party into the room selected by Galen. She'll then try to make them comfortable by covering them with blankets or cloaks and propping backpacks under heads.
at least Emm, Audi, and Ranulf carried spears and Solaine had her voulge. We could use those to bar the doors. Maybe add a couple of spikes for extra insurance.

Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
The room Galen originally selected is the one you were able to bar before, with wood stored at the door. If you want to bar the statue room, it would be more improvised.
Still up for the rat room, or change of plans?

Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
Wait...what about the ROUS'es?
Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
I don't think they exist.
Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
I don't mind the ROUSes. It's the lightning sand you need to watch out for...
Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
Sorry folks, been travelling, first for the holiday, th ed n for the funeral of a friend's mother.
The group pulls the bodies of year friends over to the room selected by Galen. The bodies are heavy, especially Ranulf's, but you are able to get them over to the door. Opening the door produces a flurry of activity in the northwest corner of the room, but you also see (at least) two of the large rats in the southern part of the room, where they are not as concealed by a junk-pile, like the first group. The room has the stuffy smell of rat in it, and they seem to be more spread out, now.
Do you want to drag your friends into the giant rat nest? Who is going first? Dragging whose body?

Re: Chapter 6: The Iron Door mission
Quinn Coburg
"We can't risk these critters nibbling disease onto our prone buddies. Let us leave this room, shut the door and move on."Quinn counsels the others, dropping Torgyr by the statue in the NE corner. Quinn will go to the next room and check its viability as a place to stay until we all recover from the paralysing effects.
Is the rat room number 2 or 3? either way, Quinn will check the other room.

"Watch our fellows and those rats, I'll go with Quinn."
Randolpho will pick up Ranulf's arbelest for firepower before listening at the door with Quinn.
