“Stupid, clumsy noisemakers. You might as well be fighting with a flare gun. Or a megaphone,” Bruze growled in his throat as he tried to rip open the Pigmonn’s.

[9] Pigmonn #10

Pigmonn #10 Initiative = [1d10] = 9

Pigmonn #10, Sht. Sword = [1d20+4] = 2+4 = 6, [1d6] = 1 dmg.

The pigmonn drops his rifle and pulls his short sword against Bruze, but fails to strike home!

[7] Bruze whirls to slash pigmonn #10 (AC 13), but the ork deflects the batman's attack.

[6] Blixx once again fails to connect with his mace against pigmonn #10 (AC 13).

[4] Belial bites into pigmonn #1 (AC 13) for 5 points of damage. The ork howls in pain.

[2] Pigmonn #1

Pigmonn #1 Initiative = [1d10] = 2

The ork disengages with Belial and moves to wake his chieftain, who (unknown to him) is dead from a life-force drain!

End of Round 4

Bruze = 41 hp
Belail = 51 hp
Blixx = 38 hp


Both remaining pigmonn (#1 & #10) are wounded, #10 is faring the worst.

Initiative and action for Round 5

The pious teen adherent of the god of darkness was surprised and unsettled to find enjoyment in the Pigmen's fear. Pleasure.
Bruze silently disemboweled his opponent with his bare hands.

Bruze: Initiative: [1d10+1] = 8+1 = 9
Bruze: Claws: To Hit: [1d20+2] = 19+2 = 21, Damage: [1d10+2] = 7+2 = 9

Then Bruze turned to the last one, who was ripe with the stink of fear and panic. The big chiropteran found himself speaking in tongues again. "No," Bruze growled slowly, sounding utterly unlike his innocent, young self. "He can't help you. Your captain is dead already. All your friends too. Dead in their sleep. They were the lucky ones.
"You're alone now. There's no one left to help you. Surrender,"
Bruze commanded in a guttural snarl, raising his bloody talons in the air to help his victim understand.
Then, to the others: "We need one alive."

With every move the pigman takes Blixx mistakenly swings almost comically hitting the dirt and completely missing the wounded pigman.

[9] Bruze rakes into pigmonn #10 (AC 13), disembowling him with 9 points of damage! The holy zealot grins as the ork slumps to the ground, dead.

[5] Pigmonn #10

Pigmonn #10 Initiative = [1d10] = 5

Pigmonn #10 was killed by Bruze before he could act.

[4] Belial chases down pigmonn #1 (AC 13) for 5 points of damage. The ork howls in pain.

[9] Pigmonn #1

Pigmonn #1 Initiative = [1d10] = 9

Pigmonn #1, Sht. Sword = [1d20+4] = 17+4 = 21, [1d6] = 4 dmg.

Pigmonn #1, using a delayed initiative, counter attacks against Belial (AC 12), stabbing him for 4 points of damage.

[4] Blixx continues to swing his mace against pigmonn #10 (AC 13), but the mothman is not having a good night.

End of Round 5

Bruze = 41 hp
Belail = 47 hp
Blixx = 38 hp


Pigmonn #10 is dead and #1 is severely wounded.

Initiative and action for Round 6

It's too soon to tell. Combat rounds occur in seconds, with an action/reaction sequence.

OOC: Bhart got the piggies rolling for the cart...but I'm guessing it takes more than a round to get Frank and Bhart into the action?

The avatar of the bat god hurled upon leathery wings after the last pigmonn. If he didn't surrender, Bruze will try to restrain him or use non-lethal means to subdue him.

I seem to remember from AD&D 1e, that an intelligent opponent can be subdued by declaring the intent to subdue, and then still rolling attack and damage rolls. The damage rolls are not actual damage, but a tally of potential damage. When subduing, one used the blunt edge of a sword, fists, etc. An intelligent defending will know that they could have been killed, so they will surrender (if they want to).

Once the opponent reached "0" hit points, they are subdued. Does this make sense?

Luke wonders how the battle is going. Perhaps the flyers don't need their help. He considers joining them, but given the distance the battle may be over, or the pigmonn may be on their way and the ambush traps here would be for naught.
