Ciar shakes his head to indicate he doesn't hear anything. Then he slides the notch in the door up in an attempt to open the door.

Ciar lifts the notch in an attempt to open the door, and does so successfully. A hallway, of similar construction to the ones you've been exploring, continues southwest and it appears to turn south after about 20-feet. Another cell appears at the this southern turn along the far west wall. The cell door, like the other cells previously discovered, has a solid iron door left ajar. The door includes the expected peephole at eye level, covered with a piece of sliding metal to open and shut it, and a smaller slot for food and water at floor level.

Ciar enters the newly-discovered doorway and moves south to see how much farther the new room goes.

Ingroc the Impavid
Ingroc waits for Ciar's return. "I have learned that succesful adventuring is largely a practice of patience and methodical exploration. While my fingers tingle with the anticipation of the treasure that no doubt awaits us behind this hidden door, I must suggest we continue with our original plan so as to ensure we miss nothing!"

Fulp replies,
Yes, but he seems to find those secret doors. He must have a gift. I'll keep looking, but not sure what I keep missing.

Ciar creeps forward and peers around the southern turn. There are three other cells -- four in total -- all appearing in the same condition as the first. After the last of the four cells, the passage turns east.

In this case, Ciar did not find the secret door; he was off searching the cell and the secret door is in the hallway itself. Because searching the walls seemed to be a group effort, I didn't specify who actually discovered it by name, but simply that the door was found (by anybody except Ciar).

Quiet as a church mouse, Ciar moves south to see where the passage leads when it continues east...

Sparrow will stay with the others while Ciar does his scouting. He gets ready to rush to the halflings aid in case things go bad.
Brave little fella ain't he?

Because no words have been exchanged, Sylvan assumes the halfling wants to go solo. With Kassel holding the light source, Sylvan has his shield and spear ready.

Ciar creeps around the corner at the end of the southern hallway and disappears from sight of those watching him.

Ingroc the Impavid
"Bah!" exclaims Ingroc, "if he gets et by grues it's his own damn fault, sneaking off like that without consulting the group, leaving us with nothing to do until he returns and reports back, because no one knows what's happening!"

Fulp whispers,
Shhh... We'll know soon enough if he gets eaten. Imagine the heartburn for whatever dines upon him...
He then continues looking for secret doors...

Just as Fulp shushes his companions, a voice is heard calling out, echoing out from further down the passage Ciar is exploring.
“Oh, gods, kind faces! Aroden bless you, noble souls! I ain’t seen the jailers in ages, I think they forgot about us! We ain’t eaten in days and the water’s all but gone—my cousins’re both sick. I swear we’d give back the boar if we could, but we ate it, starvin’ as we was. Good Baron Sarvo wills it! We didn’t even know it was the baron’s lands, didn’t know we was poachin’! I beg you, we’re all gonna die in here! Kindness, noble souls, we’ve suffered awful! Good Baron Sarvo wills it!”

Fulp stops and looks around. He quickly moves toward the calls for help.

Fulp, and anyone else that follows, reaches the end of the southern passage and turns east. The voice heard calling out falls silent and
Ciar is seen backing away from an area roughly half way down this long west-east passage.
Like the previous hallways, this new passageway contains a series of cells along its northern side before turning north at its end.

Fulp looks down the hallway and eyes Ciar. Not seeing anyone else,
he cautiously moves toward Ciar ready to defend with his walking stick if so needed.

Ciar grabs his pack and jumps/falls backwards away from the door in a frantic gesture.
"He's gone! I tried to give him some food and the bloke disappeared!" He eyes his rations through the slot in the bottom of the door in awed silence...
