The rest of you remain to the east of the secret door. With the door open, the fire is hot, but not damaging.

Is there any way to smother it that we can see?

It's a big fire: almost 20' long by 10' wide. It'll be tough to smother it.

lay the blanket from the bed down on it and have everyone rush through?

Iluq looks around the room for anything that may extinguish or lower the flames

Perhaps if you move some of the logs and fuel from the Middle or one side and it might create a space.

Iluq will do that then while his resistance to fire is still in effect.

Iluq, protected from the fire's blaze, moves the logs and embers to either side of the fireplace, leaving a small path through the middle. The fireplace floor is still hot, and the flames are quite close to the narrow path, but you should be able to dash between the two sides of the fire without hurting yourselves. You did not put Vorkath in the fireplace. The fire does have a distinct zombie-like smell, now that you mention it.

Fendt quickly walks through the opening careful to avoid the fire.
