Re: 4- The Irlingstar Ancestral Helm Quest
Cormack draws his battle and hand axes as a wicked grin crosses his face. Lead the way, brothers, he says charging forward.

Round 0 - "The Dwarven Ambush"
Thorax rounds the square rocky ledge first, charging at the skeletons with Cormack, Kurnick, and Glimble just behind. Glimble wonders how he joined this line of berserkers for a moment and then the battle is afoot.
Thorax makes it to the skeletons first but his massive swing misses as his skeleton is pelted with magic missile bolts and downed by your elf guide. Thorax inspired the rest of you to battle greatness, however, as the other three each kill a skeleton instantly by surprise!
The remaining two skeletons look up, strangely having little reaction to the slaughter of 2/3rds of their company...
Round 1 next...

Thorax barely slows and with a great clashing slams into the next skeleton at a full run, his Axe nearly pulling him along.

Tella - Mage
Seeing her comrades take the skeletons with little resistance she will hold off expending magical energy unless something else crops up. She will start to make her way down also.

Re: 4- The Irlingstar Ancestral Helm Quest
The lantern and continual light candle reveal two well crafted stone doors, ajar, leading into the stone of the low mountain. Coming closer and heading a few steps in, the light reveals a large room. It appears to be empty but there are several exits. You see large cracks running along the stonework, but the structure does seem stable.

Tella will move into the room with the others. She will take a look at the doors to see of there are any ruins, writing and/or house numbers apparent.

Glimble fills in the middle of the group so as to be closer to heal those that might need it when the time comes.

Re: 4- The Irlingstar Ancestral Helm Quest
You enter into a large room, 40ft by 80ft. There are three corridors branching out in different directions: one to the north, one to the middle of the western wall, and one in the south east corner.
There are large cracks running north to south in the room, and a couple of graffiti drawings sprawing on the walls, crude orcish runes underlining bloody red scenes of death. Otherwise the room is empty.

Re: 4- The Irlingstar Ancestral Helm Quest
The orcish script on the walls refers to an Orc "King" Wartsnak Direlord and how he and his orcs will rid these halls of dwarves. The various pictures are of dwarves being tortured or eaten by dire wolves. Thinking back to your battle at the entrance, you remember that the skeletons were dragging orc corpses...
There is a splashing noise, and then you notice Kurnick, silently washing away one of the images.

Re: 4- The Irlingstar Ancestral Helm Quest
Brother Thorax begins to pray "Clangeddin, may you have allowed some of the orcs to survive the undead so they may fall to our blades. Let them elate in their survival only to lament your retribution at our hands. This I swear, if you provide me the orcs I will rend them limb from limb and festoon the halls with their entrails."
