Sorry Dog, I couldn't see how Gandrel could spot your plan to take the shaman alive, it was the biggest threat in his eyes, the closest target and of course he really hates orcs!
Any orc would do though wouldn't it?

eh he's a dwarf so he has a hatred for orcs as well.

No worries. Dwarves hate orcs too and it's not like I had Thifli yelling out to take the shaman alive. Besides ...it opens up some dramtic tension for some good RP opportunities...saalaria wrote:Sorry Dog, I couldn't see how Gandrel could spot your plan to take the shaman alive, it was the biggest threat in his eyes, the closest target and of course he really hates orcs!

Most definitely Dogma.
FYI: If I don't see anything for Neev and Lubidius I'll just NPC their attacks and move forward in the next 2 hours we should begin round 5.

Re: OOC/Leave of Absence
Hello everyone! I'm Max; I'll be taking over the role of Lubidius the Thief; at least part-time anyway.....I work a 12 hour shift job that switches from day to night shift every 3 weeks (on nights right now) and I have a 3 year old daughter; so my RL can get a bit crazy!
I can pretty regularly post 3 or so times a week (more if the posting is fast and furious while I'm on); but there will be days when I can't really get on to post; so during those times Greywolf will take over the driving.
Anyway; I'm a (semi-)old player from way back (bought the old Frank Mentzer/Elmore cover Basic set in 85' from a Kaybee Toystore); in my late 30s and a big fan of 2nd Edition. (One of the few....and proud of it!
) This looks like a good game here and I'm happy to be a part of it;

Re: OOC/Leave of Absence
I have to say I am a tad concerned with the lack of posts from a couple players still I understand Max and I have an agreement he cannot post daily. But some others not wishing to name names here have gone off the grid for a bit all I ask is a notice of this kind of thing I don't wish to go off recruiting more players so soon but I might have to. I understand some people have told me or communicated with me via pm or email or even on google + is anyone not getting the email notifications? One player has said they are not getting them anymore. I don't know if everyone is having this issue or not but I'd like to bring it up to a mod if I need to. Again communication at least to the DM about leaves or if you need someone to NPC you. Granted nature can take down internet and power and you cannot communicate I get that. Maybe if there is a storm known to be coming soon warn me before hand if you know power might go out or something. Thanks

Re: OOC/Leave of Absence
Sorry I had to update the loot from the bandits as the module had it differently than I was thinking.

Re: OOC/Leave of Absence
I have some concerns to air out here.
1) I have 8 players and only 5 that are good with posting regularly. Yes I know I have a special agreement with one other player but there are 2 not posting very often at all this concerns me.
2) Nobody has been letting me know before hand if they are not going to be able to post once a day during the normal week other than the one said player in concern 1 that I have that agreement with.
3) I need to know who is definitely here to keep playing I've sent PM's multiple times to everyone just to be fair granted I know who is active and who is not. I'd like to know if I need to seek replacements or just drop the inactive players and saunter on with what we have after that.
Please let me know any thoughts or concerns. I'd like some sort of a player decision via PM as I am trying to avoid naming names here.
Edit: I will correct myself here as I know one other person might still be on vacation so I have a prearranged agreement with 2 folks. Plus I am forgetting one player in in the UK so the time differences are pretty vast between most of us and that one player. Though I have to say that is not an issue. Truly just namely worried about one player..... but I'm taking care of that now.

Re: OOC/Leave of Absence
I'll give bonus XP to anyone that can guess what the orb is doing. Identify what the orb is without looking in the module and each person that guesses it correctly can have bonus XP as well as possibly a magic item.

Re: OOC/Leave of Absence
I THINK it's telling our alignments....but I have no idea what the exact name of the Orb is....and I'm nowhere near my books right now!

The actual name does not matter.

Re: OOC/Leave of Absence
I think its checking for Chaos and maybe Evil?
Re: OOC/Leave of Absence
only thing I can think of is alignment, though since Lubidious was the only one singled out it might be cleanliness

Re: OOC/Leave of Absence
I'm going to say it is checking for Good vs. Evil. It shined the same for all but one of us. It did not glow brightly for Dune who is LN. The rest of us are all good in some fashion. Most are NG, but we have a CG and a LG as well. So I am thinking it is looking at the Good/Evil axis.
