Looks to be about right, I tend to round up myself when dealing with beneficial numbers. I will update the HP thread and possibly the finalized character sheet if you have not done so already.

Admittedly, just as there is always a violent way to settle things, there is always a more peaceble alternative. I'm typically fine with going either route and usually reward experience points accordingly, however, I am also at the beck and call of the actions and decisions of the players. Ultimately, my role of the DM is not that of a player, but more of a facilitator. So if the majority of the group seems keen on attacking first and asking questions later, I will have to respect their choice in the matter.

!#$%^ after Whitsell's passionate whisper about not killing first, etc seems a bit hypocritcal to just suprise them with a blade to the appendix... So, he can either stay quiet for a moment, or jump out and ask them to surrender.

Fate can be very twisted indeed, forcing an honest metalsmith of Karnagee to pick up steel and turn it not on the forge, but on fellow man. And what of his compatriots? Surely a man's actions shout louder than any words that can be uttered. A willingness to kill, an unwillingness to do so, the ever eternal battle of a cleric thrusted into a world of confused morals and truths. Will he come out of this battle a scarred man, physically, mentally? Or does courting with danger and battle create such inevitable scars? It's situations like these that tests the resolve of a man's faith, in what he believes in being right and wrong, and whether he has what it takes to see things through to the end.

But you know, I could have completely taken that statement and blown it out of proportions. If that's the case, I apologize.

re: surprise segment actions

It's up to the DM, of course, but a surprise segment can allow a full round of attacks:

"Actions that would normally happen over the course of a round may be completed in one surprise segment: talking, attacking, charging, closing to melee, beginning a spell, etc., provided that it is possible for the action to take place during a single segment." OSRIC p. 125.

Well, he doesn't have any holy water. Is that really necessary for a cleric? if so, he would ask for a drop or two of that. (if it isn't too expensive)
If not, I have no idea what to ask for him. He found his chainmail...

Definitely Gustov's preference. Just need to make sure they don't raise any alarms beforehand.

The following cleric spells use Holy Water as a component:

Bless
Protection from Evil

Also, Holy water deals 2d4 damage to any undead target for each vial used.

Some cursed items may require daily washing in holy water, but that's something you guys don't have to worry about right now.

1)Thanks, it was a nice and quiet one with the family.
2) Per today's note, they are stationed in a room. We probably need to take the action to them instead of ambushing.
