Again!

Well yeah on some nights of the bacchanale... but if we can just sync back in on the last night everyone will write it off as "Nah, didn't happen..".

Duel at sunrise? Just not gettin' up fer that...
As to her bard bonus Vesper just might be needing that to avoid what's professionally refered to in the trade as a "negative night out resolution outcome" best described as "Jabba the Hutt" issue...
However, sans culottes in a skip (UK temporary roadside artefact - might not translate universally) is an acceptable, if not over achieving, end to a night out...

Re: Hot Times in Slateholm 6/23-24
Robin spoke up. "My clothes are quite sturdy, thank you for asking. I definitely think that 450 gp from each group would be a fine donation for a smashing night out."

Gaurbal
"That sounds like some celebration, miss Vesper. We will get a reputation." he smiles "But maybe that is the point."
I'm in, and Gaurbal will still have enough for some chain mail and a donation to St Terragnis. That's 270gp each for the sewer group, or 157.5gp if we take off the 450gp for carousing.

Vesper smiles at Gaurbal "Some of us already have a reputation but you're quite right in that another one wouldn't hurt! I think it's fair to say that folk are a lot kinder when you throw money about".
Good effort on the workin's out!

990 - 450 = 540gp / 4 = 135gp each in the Travel Group. Before we commit, I would like to hear what the vendors say about available magic items and special things, particularly which might avail the group in getting past the ward at the gnome hall.
Carausing for XP is definitely a worthy use of coin. 450gp from each group is 900 for a +4, which gives us a minimum roll of 4xp and a 50% chance of maxing out (which is 6xp but actually a negative effect of being caught mid-robbery of the Duke. It might be overkill.)
Also, need to know the effect of bringing two bards. Twice as much fun?

Vesper chats cheerily "Oh The Unbending himself and I parted ways a while ago - mostly to do with my flexible approach to his rules... but I really liked his Library - so well organized!"Marullus wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 3:16 pmFerd pats Morvith on the back. She hands the scroll to Morvith "Here, Master Mage, see if you can decipher this for us. I'll stand you a fine bottle if you can!" She pauses amidst handing it fully over as she intones "Ladies and Gents - remember it's an eyeful not a handful!" and smiles as she says "Please do take a look and indeed take your time but the scroll has to stay with us".
As Morvith examines the scroll Vesper says to Ferd "You know I could really use someone on pipes or percussion while I dance. I'll cut you a fair share of the take if you'll play with us tonight".
Oh it must be twice the fun!

I've only the PDFs to reference but I'm pretty sure we can't add another 1d6 to our carousing total but, as you suggest, we could give ourselves an effective re-roll on the d6 (so 1d8 + 2d6[pick best] + 4). LUCK can also come into play and (I remind myself) we get Advantage (two rolls pick highest) when performing.
However, on the "Carousometer" I defer to the learned DM!

The Vast brothers show you the magic items they have, and you're disappointed. They only have a few items that do more than create minor illusions and does prestidigitation and little of that. They are very interested in buying more powerful magic items and spells though. The items that you think might be useful to you are very expensive.
They have a gleaming short sword that they say "un-erringly" hits a target (+1 To Hit). They are willing to sell it for 1,000 gp!
They also have a pair of bronze bracers that deflect projectiles (Advantage on blocks or parries against thrown weapons, arrows and bolts). They will part with it for 600 gp!
They also have what they call a Rope of Climbing (Advantage when anyone attempts to climb using this rope). It is only 20 feet long, though, and is old and frayed so just how long it is going to continue to be useful is a question. They only want 250 gp for the rope.
Seeing you're somewhat disappointed in their offerings, Alister Vast shrugs and says, "Magic is hard to come by here in the Western Lands, what there is you have to go out and find. We can do minor charms and magic tricks, but nothing really serious. We depend on people like you to go find more powerful items for us."
"Or you could try talking to the Mad Mage in his tower." points out Alister's brother Saul with a sarcastic tone to his voice "If you want more magical things you might want to apply to him. If he'll talk to you, that is."
"He's threatened to turn us into mice if we bother him again." Alister says with a sour expression on his face, "Told us he'd already done that to more than a few chumps that bothered him. I think he's a fraud!"
"I don't! He's dangerous and best left alone." Saul snaps at his brother adding, "Do you remember how you started craving cheese after your last attempt to get into his tower? It was a warning and I'm not going anywhere near the Tower or the damn shrine next to it either. I'll do my worship of Madeera right here, nowhere near that tower!"

A smiling Vesper offers "You can let Jake watch me for an hour if you like. I'm willing to bet he falls somewhere on the temple's "List of Disapprovements". Oh, and I've seen your legs! If those old priests want a dance just make sure you see their money and agree the terms beforehand. We'll see you back at the Guild".
She idly asks the Vast brothers "I think we've seen that Tower - just beyond Temple District? Solid enough - the outer stonework's rough cut but the mortar looks to be falling away? You could probably climb it drunk - but, hey, you'd need to be because of that crazy Wizard right?"
(OOC: Just some casual reckless endangerment...

She looks to the company "We have coin and no doubt a thirst. Should we adjourn to The Trident and Shield?"
(OOC: Maybe scroll perusal could work there and the new PCs are already in situ...).

I have made clear that it stays with us. The Ordian Temple will want the icon back but will debate it through several ordained committees. Location: Temple of Ord
Present: Galreth
The adventurers settle with the Tax Collector, who it turns out is a small thin man with a face that reminds them all of a rat and with the personality to match!
Still swaggering a bit, they all troop back toward the Guild Hall! As they move down Temple Street with the locals making a wide way for them, Galreth peels off and heads into the Temple of Ord.
Called before the Under Bishop of the Temple, Deacon Jorge, Galreth sees Rowen kneeling before an altar on one side of the room mummering prayers.
Deacon Jorge waves Galreth over to a different section of the large room behind a standing screen and says, "It seems you broke our Acolyte. I'm afraid it's going to take some time to help her recover her confidence."
"She spoke of a large Symbol of Ord under the city that you found, but frankly her tale was less coherent than we expect of her." Jorge says shaking his head, "This is the first time she's failed so hard, and is taking it very hard. Ord has not abandoned her, but she really does feel that way. If we aren't careful with her she might feel she must leave the order in her disgrace. Ah well!"
"You on the other hand, appear to be quite coherent, so tell me just what did you find under the sewers?" Deacon Jorge asks as he leans back in his chair while waving Galreth to one facing him.

Using cleric of Ord speech.
Galreth gives a slight nod to a superior and takes the seat.
"Invoker, eerr, Deason Jorge, first off your Acolyte Rowen was in a stressful situation that she was not ready for. hurt people, a tripped trap, chaos and people shouting, I suspect she was distracted. Anyway I suspect she is more overwhelmed than losing or angering any connection to Ord.
Anyway we have found a original authentic sanctified relief of Ord, an artifact that divinely radiates the feeling of Ord. If you look in the book 'The Reliquary Etched: Iconography of the Sacred Wall' you will see what I am talking about.
