Brynner

Will thank Ma Renfroe for her food and information. Trying to build a rapport.

"Certainly if I am successful hunting, I will be happy to furnish your kitchens." he promises.

Once the evening looks to definitely draw to a close, he will make his way to the hotel, book into a cheap bunk room or dormitory and sleep, preparing for a morning meeting with his stagecoach companions and an audience with this Boss Herzog.

Huck tips his hat to the barkeep.

"Much obliged, Jarn."

Short on funds himself, he resists the urge to order a drink on his friends tab. He walks to the table in the corner and takes off his hat before addressing the man playing dice.

"How do, stranger? Are ya winnin?"

Trying to learn anything he can with his eyes first, Huck lets Brock answer before continuing.

"So you own the corral then? Mind if I ask ya a few questions about things in town?"

"Much appreciated," Ma replies. "I'm running low on venison and could use some quail or pheasant eggs."

Brock slowly lifts his gaze to Huck, his eyes sullen. "They say the mind can sway the roll of a die," he murmurs. "If that were true, I'd be happily married instead of a loner."

"So you own the corral then? Mind if I ask ya a few questions about things in town?"

“That’s me,” Brock states as matter of fact. “What’s on your mind, stranger?”

Huck smiles at the somber young man.

“Hell, I might be able to show ya a few tricks with them dice, friend. It ain’t the mind ya use, but a quick hand works sometimes.”

He sits in any open chair.

“You seem kinda down. Being a loner ain’t so bad, and it’s usually only temporary. Say, that marriage ya mentioned……. did you lose the woman of your dreams to another man? Or worse things?”

Buck finishes his meal and looks to Ma Renfroe. "It may not hold much value, but my compliments to the chef. It was a wonderful meal."

He politely waits till Ma and Brynner's conversations are over and then leaves with Brynner for the hotel to get the cheapest bed he can afford and grab some rack time.

“I’m not in the mood for games,” Brock replies, gathering the dice in a bag. “Boyd Manchester wooed my girl with his wealth and status. She either met her fate in the mine or ran off with him back East.”

He rises out of his chair and turns to leave. “Sorry, stranger but I’m done for the night.”

Brock leaves the saloon and returns to the corral.

That leaves Huck and Elijah in the Happenings Saloon. Unless they choose to engage with more patrons, I'll transition to the next morning.

Carter Stone "Yer a kindly soul, Thankee." Carter enters and finds a nice corner where he won't get trampled and settles in for the night. He say goodnight to whatever animals are inside and drifts off to sleep.

Elijah sees his time here done for the night and some much needed rest in his future. He heads for the boarding house. He tips his hat to the bar tender on the way out.

Zebedee Goldrush

Will do his mystic prayers and check through his trunk of lotions and Snakeoil potions that he might hawk whilst in town, then go to sleep.

Huck looks perplexed by the shortness of Brock, but understands that being left behind by the woman of your dreams can do strange things to a man.

"Perhaps we can do business some time, friend."

Tired and thirsty, the plain looking swindler takes his leave of the tavern to find out where the others are.

Carter Stone

Carter gets up, brushes the straw from his clothes and heads out for breakfast at Ma Renfroe's.

He steps inside and takes his hat off. "Mornin' Ma'am. How much fer breakfast?"

Huck joins the others for breakfast, gladly accepting any handouts he is offered.

"Did anyone get a chance to speak with this Boss Herzog we are supposed to meet up with?"

"If not, should we make that our first priority of the day?"

He will try to do just that after they eat, if the rest of the group is willing.

Brynner

Wakes up from a spurious dream, that in another borderlands town far far away, another Brynner is shaving his bald head, readying a posse of outlaws to tackle a bandit problems harassing poor goblin farmers.

He washes, checking in the mirror he still has his curly black waves then goes to collect any breakfast, joining his stagecoach companions.

"If we are all in this together and team up, perhaps we can pool our minds and meagre resources. My proficiency tends to survival in the wilderness so I am happy to give way to the more educated and skillful at negotiations when we meet with Boss Herzog."

He looks to the fancier dressed guys, supposing the 'mystics' and 'swindlers' be more apt in making deals.
