Alordan forgoes his attack in favor of pulling Percy out of the jelly monster! He’ll reach in the filth if he can’t grab any exposed parts of Percy - and pull!

I dig this action, but it will require a Save vs. Paralyzation to accomplish.

Alordan takes a chance at simply grabbing Percy from his jelly-like prison, hoping the little guy is still alive in there. Unfortunately, as soon as he sticks his arms into the wiggling goo, he too becomes as stiff as a bone fish, suddenly paralyzed and unable to pull himself from the cube.

Maag has the obvious solution to this problem, and it's definitely not slipping in the filth under his boots and falling head first........into the cube. He too suddenly combats the urge to quit moving.

The others seem apprehensive now that three of their numbers have become enveloped inside the jelly cube, each of them missing with their attacks as Torbath watches their backside.

Just as all is about to be lost before it even started, Feanol hits the fleeing monster with another barrage of magical energy darts that sink into rubbery flesh unerringly. The final pop from the missiles sends the monster into a bizarre chain reaction, melting to the floor in the blink of an eye and releasing all three victims at once when the cubed substance suddenly dissolves into a greenish puddle, mixing together with the grey muck covering your feet.

From his knees, Percy coughs violently and spits out a mouthful of greenish sewage, clearly injured now, but apparently still mostly alive. Alordan is burned slightly from the experience, 4 dam but Maag manages to escape any damage himself.

Theo is rather pleased to have been part of defeating his first legendary monster. Until now, his career has consisted of being eaten by clouds of bugs and battling short metal devices. He checks the goo of the dissolved thing for valuables, anything of interest, or even just a souvenir to keep.

Theo laughs. Yeah Maag, no doubt that head butt was the last thing the blob was expecting. Threw off its tactical master plan! He uses the tip of his work/hunting knife to scratch his acid-singed arm through chinks in his chainmail. That's the problem with chainmail-- getting at an itch can be real hell.

Torbath is happy to learn the noise of battle hasn't attracted anything else to their whereabouts down here.........yet.

Alordan winces in pain as Andron rushes to the fallen Percy to lend their small dark guide some divine aid, healing most of his injuries but not relieving the mental stress of his recent near death experience.

Maag uses humor to disguise what just happened to him, while Theo fishes around in the muck where the greenish cube dissolved. Finally satisfied that he might actually be a real adventurer now, the homely ranger is shocked to feel all sorts of stuff clanking around under the grey water at his feet. He wonders what it might be. :twisted:

Errm... It seems that the jelly blob dropped a lot of stuff when it dissolved.... Right around here. He indicates with his hands. I can feel the stuff with my boots. But, it's all under the water. And under all of the other... stuff. All can see his mind deciding between stuff... and stuff. He looks up and around. Anybody?
