As the players will have had their backgrounds vetted by the person selling the ship to your new boss, and they would have reservations about such a character (and the ability to put their feet down) I have to reluctantly say no. Now, if you wanted to be an Imperial with psionics, that might be possible, though it would have to be tweaked a little. It's the foreign national aspect that stops this, and the four frontier wars the Zho and Imperium have fought.

There is an event in the Life Events table where someone could find a psionic institute. If you like, I will allow you to take that as a result but there is a price to be paid. You'd need to devote one term (the one before you became a bounty hunter and did a term there) as a psion. For example, say you were a scout. You could do three terms, encounter the institute and take the psion career on term four. You would then leave it and do term five as a bounty hunter. Also, for psionics, I would do the rolls.

If that appeals, we can do it. If not, back to the drawing board. Again, my apologies for quashing the idea.

I entered the first character into the character sheet but parts didn't fit. I suspect it'll be easier for me to take the finished characters and make text entries for them. Let's just do that.

Are we ditching the character sheets?

Be advised that the first bounty has been posted. They look like rough characters, so I'd be careful taking that one on, even if it is worth a fortune.

I unlocked and renamed the "Bounty Hunter Notes on People, Places, Things, and Organizations" thread. If you read the first post now, it explains that is where YOU will keep your notes on people, places, things, and organizations. You can make the entries, or on occasion. I might. Either the original poster can update their own note or you can just replay with the requested additions or updates and I'll make it happen and delete the change request to keep the thread focused. This is where you'll keep info on whatever so you don't forget it somewhere down the line, so don't be shy. It's still sticky, so it'll stay up top where you can find it.

What do people usually load up on when they have a computer or Wafer Jack? I can see backing up a few skills.
