The packing just looks like packing and the foam is simple Styrofoam. It looks decidedly normal. The container itself also looks like a normal container, no false bottoms or sides, nothing stands out as out of the ordinary.

I'm wondering if we have "Team Science" and "Team Crowbar" on the wrong tasks here! It'll be fine (or maybe not! ) but in any event the Corporation must be liable for storing aliens in styrofoam secured with sticky tape - that's just reckless...

Donovan lifts the lid while Sigrun stands at his shoulder looking down. The lid comes up reveling a statuette about a 18 inches long and half that wide at one end and narrow at the other. The statuette is made of what looks like a black rock, or rock-like, material with gold inlay for highlights. To you both it looks vaguely like a tree and growing from roots up its trunk are curling vines that disappear into a roundish canopy...though, maybe the canopy is more shaped like a human brain and the trunk is slightly curved and has indentions along it like a spine...maybe it's symbolic of either or both, you don't know. There is writing inlayed around the base of the statuette.

It is familiar to both Sigrun and Donovan, though Donovan can't begin to read it.

Sigrun realizes that it is a Zhodani script and that she knows a little of that language. What is written here is mostly unreadable to her, not just because she doesn't know the words, but because most of the script is...well, it's not there like it has worn off. No, it's like it was never there and only a few bits are all that are needed for understanding? Oh, now she remembers!

She remembers seeing writing like this on a paper Tliaqrnadatl showed her once, he could read it, she could not.

Tlia? She can remember his face and his platinum hair and a feeling of calm he radiated, but that's all. Who was Tila and how did she come to know a Zhondani noble?

Concentrating, the only words she can pick out are "Wild", "Trigger", and "Path". Looking at it closely like this is giving her a headache. Sigrun becomes aware of a buzzing in her ears and her vision is going blurry...something is wrong with her! "I don't pass out! " is the last thought she has before she collapses to the deck unconscious.

Donovan can't really make heads or tails of this statuette with the scribbles at the bottom. It's Zhodani, or at least, what that language looks like on Imperial Vid-dramas....for a minute he begins to think about a drama he once saw.

...and he is walking on a road of blue cobblestones holding the hand of a bird-man of some kind. They are both walking toward a temple with a large golden dome..."I don't pass out!" rings out in his head.

Shaking his head, Donovan turns away thinking this thing is messing with his brain and should be put back like it was ASAP! When he turns away he sees that Sigrun has fallen to the deck and is unconscious. He notes that he is still holding the Styrofoam lid to the box in his hands.

When he sees that Sigrun has collapsed he quickly covers the item and then calls on his communicator. "Medical emergency in the cargo bay. Sigrun collapsed. Some kind of psionic effect possibly." Then he kneels and attempts to render whatever aid he can.

Flighty isn't stupid enough to get between Zaki and a medical emergency, but he is right on her heels as they head for the cargo bay.

As they run out, Katcsi headaches to the statuette and grabs it with a cloth and places it back in the 'foam' and closes the suitcase..

The statuette is in the cargo bay while the briefcase (as yet unopened) is in the med bay. I’m not sure where Karsci is. I don’t remember him being in the med bay, but I could be wrong. His other thread was in a different time set, so I think he isn’t pegged as being anywhere at this moment.

She glances at Donovan before kneeling next to Sigrun. "I might have known that she would open that package." She glances at Donovan. "What happened?" The medic listens while she starts scanning the unconscious woman. Or warrior, she thinks.

While Zaki works, Flighty looks at what they found, since it is probably still in the open. He wants to know what did this.

I have been a little busy with personal things, sorry if I am out of sync.

To me it sounded like they left the statuette to deal with something, so Karcsi wanted to 'Safe' it. If Karcsi was working on the \ axe and spear in the machine shop while underway, that's fine.
