Beato manages to perform a simple patch over Coldmoon's shoulder, relieving her from the pain.
Beato (first aid check) [1d20] = 14 [1d3] = 1 ] - 14+17=31 - succeed - 1 hp restored

"That last kobold was doing a lot of shouting? Anyone know what he was saying? Could he have been alerting his fellows down the path of our coming? And by fellows I mean... bugbears.
Would Wolfsight allow his eagle to scout ahead one last time?"

"No idea what they said, but they weren't quiet about it. I would expect anything nearby knows we are here."

Balam shakes a bit of gore off of his axe, "Best proceed carefully." He begins the time-honored tradition of checking the recently departed for items of interest or value.

Syrin flies to her scouting job, soon returning to her master. Wolfsight informs you about two large humanoids, who don't seem alerted by the kobold's shouting, protecting the old house. They look like hobgoblins, but Wolfsight is not sure. Everything else looks very quiet.

Meanwhile, Balam is able to find one small bag of coins with each kobold summing 45cp total. There are also the three poorly made war hammers used by the kobolds. The kobolds smell like rotten flesh, like they were dead for days, not minutes.

Looking into the entrance you see a dark cave, but you can tell that its like a big corridor and on the other side, maybe 150' or more from the entrance, it leads to open air again.

I've made a mistake with the dice rolls. Coldmoon lost only 2hp when she was attacked, not 3hp. So after Beato's first aids her a total hit points is 5.

My mistake. I thought the priestess said bugbears were protecting the house. Must have been hobgoblins.
Heff peers into the cave trying to discern anything in the darkness, especially above near the ceiling in the shadows and below where they will be walking.

Balam flips the pouch to the side and mutters, "Some coin here..."

Finding the smell unusual, he will examine the kobolds a bit more carefully, checking the state of their skin and putting a finger to an exposed area to see if they are cold or still warm as they should be.

Let us cross the cave says Beato but keep your eyes open for any traps.

Balam find out that the corpses have not unusual to add to their smell. They are still warm and the smell probably comes from the blue painting on their faces.

The group walks through the cave slowly, watching the steps for possible traps, but nothing unusual seems to be there. They soon reach the other side, a micro-rift, walled by the mountains from both sides. There's a clear trail running along the eastern cliff face. After some 400' it starts to encircle a small hill.

"Here it is..." - says Wolfsight - "the old house stands behind that small hill. I suggest that you sneak through the western side of the hill to take a look on it since going through the trail you put right in front of the guards. I need to go back know. Wish you good luck."
despite the bad weather, there was sill some light reaching the edges of the cave, so we may assume that Beato didn't lit a torch lit to walk through it. From now on I need a marching order for the party.

Beato suggests that he and Balam lead the way, since they are better armored, with Heff and Coldmoon forming a second row a few feet behind them.

Once the group gets close to the hill we can figure out the best way to approach it, keeping in mind Wolfsight's suggestion.

Walking off the trail through the left side of the small hill is easy. The hill has perhaps 100' of diameter. When you are closer to other side you manage to see the house. Standing 70' from the hill you see the southern wall. The house was built attached to the west mountain cliff. The southern wall is about 45' large and it's high, indicating a two floor house. Balam recognizes it as being dwarven made.

Sitting down near the wall edge, you see a hobgoblin. He looks relaxed, talking to someone near him in some strange language.

You can't see much more than that because of the house position.
Here's a rough sketch of the positions

Balam grunts disgustedly and says, "Makes me sick to see a fine built house like that despoiled by the likes of them..."

"It seems we are in a similar situation. While I feel we are sure to alert them sooner or later, I don't think now would be the best time to smack the beehive. I wonder if we can make it to the wall undetected and take them by surprise or perhaps bypassing them another way?"

Balam examines the side of the house facing them as best he can from where he is standing.
Things he is looking for: Are there windows on the side we are on? Cellar entrance perhaps? Any lights/figures in the windows or rooftop? Anything out of the ordinary.

Perhaps we can attract the guard in this direction? We can also try and see if the higher ground on the hill allows a better view of that area.

Whispering to the others, "We could turn around, circle around the hill to the south, and then come north on the other side. Slowly and quietly. Then we could get a better look at the front of the house, how many hobgoblins are there, how they are armored, what weapons they carry and so on."

Sorry, I've forgotten to mention the windows.

Balam sees four window roles, two at each floor. They look boarded up on the outside with something, probably wood, probably to keep the sunlight from entering the house.

Balam agrees with this as well.

The party cautiously circle the hill, arriving on the other side, near the trail. They see two hobgoblins, both sit down close to the other. They both have axes. Their attention is turned to the trail, but they don't notice the adventurers.

The front wall of the house is nearly as wide as the southern wall. Two similar windows in the top floor, boarded up just like the southern windows. You notice that the northern edge is damage and the wall is not complete. There's a wide hole with no roof. You can't see the damaged area with much detail because of the distance and angle.
