Skiiratch puts on the boots of levitation while he patiently waits for others to step back, move forward, or... Die, I guess.

Bindle would keep pushing the dwarf forward unless he notices him stopping to examine the floor. In that case Bindle would stand in a defensive posture with his Jo stick hoping he can react quickly to anything unexpected.

"Hmm" Skarlos thinks to himself "Not a talkative bunch...perhaps one has to prove oneself prior to acceptance into the group."
Then aloud:
"I have a magical means of trap detection if that would help?"
He stays at the entrance for now, not venturing into the passage.

McCloud will eye up the new comer with a little disinterest..."did try and tell him before that 'though the early bird gets the worm its' the second mouse that gets the cheese!'...but he didn't listen".

Having liberating the body of Erodhan of his armour and sword, potion, pack, boots, scroll and books, McCloud will heave his body up in some 'firemans lift' type carry and following the red brick road walk to behind Urdak.

"Make way lads, Ero's going to make one last heroic gesture, bless his soul!", McCloud will give a slight cough, figuring he has the disapproving eyes of the clerics upon him, and heave the body onto the section he is inspecting...getting ready to 'spring' back out of the way of any other crushing walls.

After donning his new set of chain mail Quinn maintains his current position while Mcloud tosses Erodhan’s body onto the next section of the hallway. “Clear the area in front of the door next,” he suggests.

McCloud to Erodhan as he throws body onto floor.."as I used to say to my kids when I had to discipline them...this is going to hurt you a lot more than it'll hurt me!".

Tix thinks the vantage point from on the box seems fine, so he tries to examine the depression in the wall that was pointed out. He will pull out his dagger and test to see if there are seams, or if maybe its a trap or some sort of an illusion.

Skiiratch focuses his MageLite on the box from his position at the entrance.

"So... what was in it, then? We didn't find anything on the body. Did anyone look inside it?"

The Dwarf seems to be searching for words about his suspicions when the body of the dead Elf sails past him.

The box, cleverly enough, opens from the bottom, the top was just a trap Skiiratch.

"Ok... But that doesn't answer my question. Did anyone look up inside the box? There was nothing on the body, so I'd assume if there was anything inside he didn't get a chance to get it."

Skiiratch bends down and shines his MageLite into the underside of the box.

The elf's body lands in front of the painted door and the floor promptly opens up to swallow him. His body is now at the bottom of a 10' deep pit impaled on spikes.

Inside the box you see a metal lever that can be thrown to the left (south).

Tix can not get close enough from his vantage point on the box. The depression is the area painted to look like a door, now over a 10 foot deep pit to the south of you.
Would you like to climb down and get a closer look? You can examine it from the edge of the pit.

seeing the pit open up and 'swallow' Erod', McCloud will express part disgust at such a trap and part delight that it was found. How much of the 'red tile words' can we see remaining. Urdak has his torch lit and we have a continual light source....McCloud will edge around the open pit (Checking floor seams for more pits and moving walls) and move onto the next sq with red tiles on to try and discover any more writings...."perhaps just the vain goadings of a dead man or clues to trap the unwary and lead the wise?" (McCloud trying to unconvincingly sound venerably wise!).

Bindle will stand back and reach out with his Jo Stick jabbing hard at the floor that hasn't fallen next to the pit to see if it does the same.

Tix is amused by the floating impaled dwarf. He will stay on the chest to help skiiratch with the chest. After that is resolved he will plop down and move carefully over to the other side of the pit (the one on the far side of the party) by cautiously moving around the pit (staying close to its ledge and checking with every step) to inspect the wall near the painted door. All the muttering under his breath about how old his bones are, and how there is no cheese in this dungeon. Any descent dungeon would at least have refreshments.

Skiiratch says, "There is a lever here in the box. Want I should push it?" and he grins evilly at the other party members further down the hallway.

Bindle turns back quickly towards Skiiratch. Don't pull a damn thing until i'm out of this blasted death pit!
