Some of you guys are pretty broke. Some of you hardly enough money to even pay for essentials, like few days in a hotel or stabling your horses. Please roll 6d6 for extra dollars and post your rolls here.

Sebastian

I have $18 on my sheet, from char-gen. Not sure how I got that amount, maybe buying guns and horses. Here are a few more silver dollars.

Sebastian: silver dollars [6d6]=26

My coinage is accurate to your char-gen amount except -$1. I only bought a gun, SA revolver and dagger.

So with paying Doctor fees I am -$35 leaving me with $41 to pay ongoing upkeep and equipment / horse upgrades.

I am assuming my personal effects, coins, toothbrush, saddlebag are in some vault, not in my person and you have my horse in the jail stables.

OK, thanks all. I think there's a typo for Sebastian's doctor fees, but the $41 final figure looks right.

The horses are with you in the stockade, not very happily faring on broom weeds.

Being practical, if I am down to 4 points of strength and take weeks to recover, then I feel my character is a bit of a liability going forward.

At 1point recovery per week, I am 7 weeks from full health. How that plays out in a group I don't know but I am pretty sure other folk ain't waiting around 7 weeks to recruit me in some enterprise.
Let's see what happens with the trials. Time may move forward at a much faster pace going forward than it has until now, depending on what the PCs decide to do. If Sebastian ends up being out of action for weeks of game time while the other PCs move forward, you can roll another PC and join the group. We can run Sebastian in a separate thread like we do with Paladin, if you like.

I'm sorry, my last GM post seems to have confused everyone, which was my fault. The bottom line is, here are the rules for lonesome prisoners spending long minutes and hours reflecting on things and changing attribute scores. And I'm going to modify the rules a little and add an option I've been considering for a while.
a) PCs can spend 3 attribute points from one attribute to add 1 point to another attribute. Or add a new Working or Combat Skill
b) PCs for a cost of $1 can roll can move 1 point from an attribute to another attribute. But a successful Luck roll is required.
c) PCs can pay $2 and reroll any attribute score. But for better or for worse, they're stuck with the new roll. If they want to roll again, the cost is $15. And again, you're stuck with the last roll, for better or worse.

The fine print:
-You can only choose one option and roll the die. Per 24 hours or more of imprisonment and self-reflection, that is. Which I would hope won't come up too often. But that's up to y'all.-All rolls must be posted and verified. Show yer hands after you lay them down, for all the other gamblers to see how you played it. :)
-All rolls must be posted and verified. Every gambler around the table has to show his hand, and be prepared to defend it.
-If your PC has the Gambling skill, you can add the skill bonus to the roll.
-Players can also add their Observation bonus the the roll.

These rules attempt to address Andreas's exceptionally low series of rolls. And also reflect the high-stakes gambling culture of Texas of 1872. And in all of the rest of the frontier Old West. Dollars and cards, many men and few women. Gambling was a test of wits and a a social event. And a test of wits. And skill at gunplay.

Anybody know of an RPG with rules for stray bullets? For example, a chance of a missed shot hitting another character? I'd like to incorporate some rules for that into this game. It seems like it may come up along the way, especially in indoor, close quarters gunfights like the one we just had.

Don't forget your Luck rolls for the trial. They could help with your results.

Coming in loud and clear!

When you roll for your money, roll an extra 6d6. BH 3E chars tend to start off pretty broke. Not enough $ for even living expenses. It was the same with 1E.
