Day 1– In the complex – 9:36 a
Ramshackle shed.

...

The orc seems really confused by the questions being asked of it. Then when he sees the "crazy elf" casting a spell, a sob sneaks out.

After the spell is cast though, he seems to relax. He becomes more comfortable standing up and looking at Kayen with admiration in his eyes. He doesn't say anything immediately, but it seems the spell worked.

The slave looks on in amazement, hands still shackled, though he looks at Blodgett hopefully when he speaks of unshackling.

Seeing that the orc is under control, Freda will put away her bow and begin searching the dead orcs for anything of interest - including keys to the shackles for the prisoner and not excluding any coin or items of worth.

Kayen begins a nice dialogue with the charmed orc. He asks the creature's name and prods him for information like if they were friends exchanging news at the local market.

"...and by the way, me and my friends could really use some guidance here. I mean, it is so hard to get around this place..."

Phanstern will pose the same basic questions to the slave. What is your name, Good Sir, and how came you to such a fate? Do you know your way around this place?

"in perhaps a vain attempt to continue our undetected entry to this lair, I think we should hide these bodies in the garden we just left. It may only delay our detection but surely its worth it?" Dredd slowly scratches his head as he ruminates.

Blodgett says to Dredd Agreed. Tis a good idea. I don't think anyone has been in that cemetery for a long time. He pauses, looks at his companions searching the dead orcs, then continues I'll also help with the search. He moves to the closest dead orc and begins to search its body.

Day 1– In the complex – 9:40 a
Ramshackle shed.

...

Delgath picks up the best looking of the torches as Kayen questions the orc. The orc chats amiably with Kayen, his name is Lulgijak, he prefers to be called Lul, and he responds in a friendly manner to the question about guidance by saying, in orcish "not too hard to get around the temple, the undercity is a little more difficult, but as long as you stay away from the bugs it's okay. Course there are places I'm not allowed to go, a couple up here, more down below."

Freda, Elwita and Blodgett search the room and orcish bodies. All of the orcs have halberds and a mish-mosh of armor on. The halberds are usable, the armor really isn't. They each have exactly 5 gold pieces, but also they each have silver holy symbols around their necks, worth much more than 5gps. Funny enough (as Eljay observes) those around their necks are all from good deities. On the walls are maybe 60 or 70 holy symbols, none as nice as the silver ones around the orcs' necks, dedicated to many different gods, good, evil and neutral. The orcs were plainly trying to protect themselves in some way. Of course there's also bits of orc strewn across the floor, as well as buckets of blood... luckily the floor is wood and kind of soaking it up. There do not seem to be any keys, of any sort. Bot the southern double doors and the northern double doors were barred from the inside; the northern ones, to the outside, still are, but the southern ones are, of course, in shambles. :)

Dredd Delgath suggests putting those bodies in the garden room, Blodgett agrees while he searches. There doesn't seem to be any exits to this room, and while you can hear movement and chatter outside the northern double doors, it definitely isn't close, nor does it seem alarmed in any way. So far, you are safe.

The slave responds to Phanstern's questioning: My name is Arno, I was kidnapped by pirates while herding my sheep and taken to this place by sea. I know where the slave pits are below... but please don't take me down there!

Freda listens to the noises from the north with a bit of concern on her face.

"Hey, Kay... can you ask your new friend why they're all wearing holy symbols? And... what exactly is beyond these doors?"

Simple directions will do, the Illusionist answers Arno absently, as he again fixes his gaze down the hallway to make sure his party is not being followed.

Blodgett takes the gold and holy symbols that he finds. He then helps move the bodies the best his small frame can.

What were the Orcs so afraid of in the garden? We were there and did not see anything other than ants and thieving vines. Phanstern asks Arno.

Ogre; calming down from his adrenaline-spiked combat a few minutes ago; comes over to help move the bodies into the gardens per Dredd's suggestion....

Phanstern says wrote:Simple directions will do,.
Arno gulps and replies Outside past these doors, you go through the guarded portcullis, then through the guards of the temple of the One Eyed One, and then past the orcish priests, and there’s a way down behind the giant statue of their One Eyed god.

Kayen asks Lul about the holy symbols and the northern double doors. The holy symbols are to keep the spirits of the dead at bay from the cemetery across the hall, he shivers at the thought, hopefully they’ll protect us from possession or worse! The doors lead to the outside. We’d be guarding from out there if the roof captains didn’t fuss us so much.

Ogre, Dredd, and Eljayess start moving bodies out of the shattered doors and into the garden across the hall. Blodgett joins in the task after getting the 6 silver holy symbols and gold. It takes them little time, especially after Ogre joined in.

Phanstern says wrote:What were the Orcs so afraid of in the garden? We were there and did not see anything other than ants and thieving vines.
Arno gulps again and replies Then you were lucky. Supposedly a good goddess, who’s temple this previously was, cursed the garden to protect itself and the dead walk it. Only the leaders go in there but only with many, many orcs to protect them.
