@ChubbyPixie, for some consolation, don't consider it that you're rolling just as poorly as the rest of us, consider it that you're actually testing Feifo's ability to intimidate the enemy with his blade! But, we know how that usually ends...
Finver dodges the Rat Man's wild swing, and quips, "Not 'til I'm dead and cold will ya shave this beard from me!"

Even amidst the fog of war and the fog building under the True Vision specs under Mungo thick mole-man vision enhancing goggles, he manages to yell, Maskelyn! Maskelyn! Ambrose, you good for nothing! Ranting Altrusian! Smash the wondrous gizmo panels! Wreck the panels! What the heck, it might do something, who knows? Front line, drive them back into the corridor! They'll overrun us if we don't, we can't fight four of them at a time for long! He aims a hard forge hammer blow at the knee of the Sleestak before him (S29).
The City of the Sleestaks, Deep Beneath the Forbidden Zone
The Island of Xygax the Wizard, Land of One Thousand Towers
Day Ten. Night? April 5th, 912 CY
All across the subterranean city, Sleestaks awaken from the Hours of Mystery!
While deep within a secret world, the raiders of reality beat down another onslaught of Sleestak spears, with only Connak being gashed! (2hp damage) Then they counterattack!
In a blur of silver, Yul's greatsword decapitates his reptilian foe! (S20)
Connak, Draupadi and Mungo hack and bludgeon another enemy asunder! (S29) And Ko-Nan and Finver both wound their second adversary!
Mungo berates Ambrose and the ape shouts back from the torture chamber: "I'm... I'm looking for a weapon!"
The freed Altrusian staggers into the chamber of sorcery-engines and dons a pair of the strange spectacle-lenses.
Suddenly, with the last of his magic power, Maskelyn summons fraudulent flames into existence, a wall that divides the Sleestak ranks!
The counterfeit fire rages without heat, sound or smell. Through the silent, flickering veil of flames, a Sleestak (S19) hisses:
"Humansss! Sssurrender! There isss no essscape! You cannot defeat an entire cccity of usss but there isss no need for you to die!"
Actions?!
Map Detail: One square = 10 feet. PCs are purple. Sleestaks are green. Altrusians are orange. Ambrose is brown. Blue = ???
Finver initially disregards the Sleestak's (S19) call for surrender, as his survivial instincts prevent him from anythign but his singular focus to dispatch the Sleekstak (S27) threating him and Fiefo. As his engaged enemy becomes a silhouette in Maskelyn's flames, Finver again strikes with his hammer and lands a skillful blow.
Understanding the grave reality of their situation, Finver reconsiders their options. When the enemy momentarily staggers from the impact, Finver answers back to the apparent leader (S19) demanding their surrender, "Stop yer attack first! Or we fight ta the death!"

Sheriff Yul
"We are thinning their ranks, press the advantage." he shouts, moving to ward the tunnel from one side of the fiery wall and will attack any creature sterling through.
Maskelyn
Maskelyn heads for the SW area of the room. Once there, he uses the head of his staff to smash a screen or two- then begins poking at any panel on the control board that might open (or be pried open). He prays as he does:
Hey, Bugs! Time for some mischief, here!

Mungo seems to have appointed himself Ambrose's supervisor pro tem. Ambrose, search for secret doors in that room! If you don't mind. He tries to forge-hammer a Sleestak at the same time but badly fails.
The City of the Sleestaks, Deep Beneath the Forbidden Zone
The Island of Xygax the Wizard, Land of One Thousand Towers
Day Ten. Night? April 5th, 912 CY
Behind an illusory world, a Sleestak hisses through illusory flames:
"Humansss! Sssurrender! There isss no essscape! You cannot defeat an entire cccity of usss but there isss no need for you to die!"
The invaders do not immediately comply and the murderous battle rages on! An alien Sleestak spear rips into Ko-Nan's flesh! (4hp damage) A sling-bow bolt flies through the fraudulent fire and impales Connak's chest! (6hp damage)
The adventurers answer with steel and fury! Connak, Fiefo and Finver butcher the nearest two Sleestaks to death!
Every Sleestak on this side of the flickering veil is dead!
Mungo cries, "Ambrose, search for secret doors in that room!"
Ambrose's voice shouts back: "In a jail cell?! Wouldn't such a door allow their prisoners to escape?"
The freed Altrusian elder follows Mungo's previous instructions and pulls the quarterstaff off Maskelyn's back and drives it into a God's Eye crystal in a flash of sparks and smoke!
The Sleestak at the fiery wall (S19) hisses from behind his bizarre sling-bow: "Sssurrender! You are trapped!"
Finver bellows: "Stop yer attack first! Or we fight ta the death!"
From the swarming insect-reptiles beyond the flames comes the cold-blooded reply, "Very well, Humansss. Drop your weaponsss! Raissse your handsss! Now!"
Actions?!

Maskelyn holds his position, maintaining the Phantasmal Flames. IF he can do it without letting the spell lapse, he calls Careful with that staff, Doc! Mom gave me that!

Mungo shouts, Well, that makes sense, Ambrose! But instead of saying that, you could have spent your time looking somewhere else! Sheesh! To the guys on the line, Sorry guys on the line, but this looks hopeless. I think we have to try something else. He runs to the nearest wondrous gizmo, looks for an especially vital doodad, and smashes it with his smithing hammer.
While the fake wall of fire is in place and hoping it is a barrier that impedes the Sleestaks, the Lawman turns to his comrades and joins in the vandalism of the controlling technicals. He follows the dwarf mole-man Mungo whose steampunk faith may know more about such gadgets and mimics his trashing the fixtures.
I will use the phaser to indiscriminately fire at the various screens.
