Oops! I was looking at where he was, not where he would have been.
I am no longer sorry, Rex.
Unaccustomed to the dirty work of dueling, Snake urges his hoarse along on the upper northernmost passage, searching for the Lost Dungeon.
WW4 [2d6] = 8

W&W Turn 4 (Lost)
A massive dust storm rises out of nowhere! Throll dismounts and leads his horse towards an outcrop of rocks hoping it can provide temporary shelter.

Turn 4 Continued...
Sorry I just noticed I read the Lost Dungeon chart wrong for Kothar in Turn 3. As you can see from the chart picture in Post #38, my 3 roll was actually “battle Elemental...” I’ll apply that in Turn 4. Here is the roll:
Need a 7+.
W&W T4 Kothar vs. Elemental [2d6] = 9
In a blinding blur of steel, Kothar hews and hacks at the Elemental! His sword sings the song of the monster’s death. Kothar spies light ahead and knows the exit is near. (Can continue in Turn 5.)
Turn 4 rolls are in:
DadsAngry #1 - 7 Red Warlock Samson
Rex #2 - 11. Green Warrior Rex
Norjax #3 - Lost turn. White Warrior Throll
Grog #4 - Fight Elemental. Blue Warrior Kothar
Mant #5 - 6 Yellow Warrior Boris the Brave
OgreMage #6 - 8. Black Warlock SnakeEyes
In the Lost Dungeon, Samson rolled a 6, which has him lost for one turn (Turn 5).
Rex/green’s 11 in the direction of Boris (who was south at the time of Rex’s move) brought him far south.
The board at the end of Turn 4:
Turn 5
The warriors and warlocks press on for 2d6. Samson/DA loses this turn in the Lost Dungeon. Throll/Norjax and Kothar/Grog are both free to roll.
Kothar mounts his horse and gallops 10 straight south
W&W T5 Kothar [2d6] = 10

Throll
W&W T5 Throll [2d6] = 6
After the dust storm subsides, Throll heads north out of the
Parched Desert and turns east (right) at the intersection.

SnakeEyes barely makes it to the entrance of the lost dungeon.
WW5 [2d6] = 2
Completely missing the first trap door, he falls in a pit and knocks himself unconscious for a while.
Lost Dungeon Exploration [2d6] = 9
Nice to see that I roll just as poorly in board games on here.

Turn five rolls are in:

Norjax #3 - 6. White Warrior Throll
Grog #4 - 10. Blue Warrior Kothar
Mant #5 - 7. Yellow Warrior Boris the Brave
OgreMage #6 - 2. Black Warlock SnakeEyes
SnakeEyes falls into a pit in the Lost Dungeon, and with a 9 loses 2 turns.
The board at the end of Turn 5:
Turn 6
The adventurers journey forth for 2d6, except the trapped SnakeEyes and lost Samson. But Samson can roll again on the Lost Dungeon chart.
Kothar’s mighty horse brings him 11
Kothar WW T6 [2d6] = 11

Turn six rolls are in:
DadsAngry #1 - 4 Lost Dungeon roll - Lose turn. Red Warlock Samson
Rex #2 - 7. Green Warrior Rex
Norjax #3 - 10. Followed by a 2 Lost Dungeon roll - lose one turn. White Warrior Throll
Grog #4 - 10. Blue Warrior Kothar
Mant #5 - 6. Yellow Warrior Boris the Brave
OgreMage #6 - Lost this turn, and next Turn 7, in Lost Dungeon. Black Warlock SnakeEyes
Samson/DA's roll is a Lost Dungeon roll of 4, as he still needs to escape. The 4 roll means he is trapped by rubble for 1 Turn (i.e. loses Turn 7).
Throll/Norjax made it to the Lost Dungeon, rolled a 2, and is lost for a turn (i.e. loses Turn 7.)
Boris/Mant and Princess Penelope also arrive at the Lost Dungeon. Mant roll 2d6 for the Lost Dungeon chart!
The board at end of Turn 6:
Turn 7
The quest continues with 2d6!
The Lost Dungeon is quite crowded. Square spaces are the only spaces that duels for the princess can't happen.
Kothar gallops along at 6
Kothar W&W T7 [2d6] = 6, wondering where the hell everyone is. It looks like there are ancient ruins ahead!
Rex the warrior is approaching the sea port.

Grog #4 - 6. Blue Warrior Kothar
Mant #5 - Lost Dungeon roll of 7. Escapes, advance 2. Yellow Warrior Boris the Brave

Boris the Brave and Princess Penelope wend their way through the Lost Dungeon (roll of 7) and make it outside to freedom (advancing 2 spaces.)
Samson/DA, SnakeEyes/OM and Throll/Norjax continue their dungeon delving. What perils do they vanquish?
Rex the warrior passes through the Sea Port, stops for a drink, and heads northwest. Kothar arrives at the edge of the Ancient Ruins.
The map at the end of Turn 7:
Turn 8
Samson/DA, SnakeEyes/OM and Throll/Norjax can now make rolls on the Lost Dungeon chart.
Everyone else rides ahead for 2d6.
Kothar canters for 4 (
Kothar WW T8 [2d6] = 4, Ancient Ruins roll [2d6] = 5 ) into the Ancient Ruins (roll on that chart.) With a 5, Kothar must battle a giant reptile (defeat on 7+). Kothar hacks and slashes and kills the slithering menace (11)!
Kothar WW Battle giant reptile [2d6] = 11
What books are everyone reading now? For fiction, I’m reading Science Fiction Quarterly, April, 1957, a pulp digest of the time. On the nonfiction side, Buy Me Boston, a collection of ads and flyers from the 1960-80s.
