Thanks. Once you name your character, you should change the title of your sheet. You might also want to re-arrange the order of the two tabs so the character sheet is the 1st tab (shouldn't affect the forumlas).Samwell Turleton wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 11:00 pm I copied a link in at the beginning. Looks like you put your bonus skills in italic...Samwell Turleton wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 9:20 pm I also updated the character sheet and posted a new image at the beginning of this thread.
Nice, and the formatting signals are done on jemmus's character's Google Sheets link. I'm having trouble with the Google Sheets UI, sorry mates. I don't see how to view each others' char sheets, or GM's quick-access information.ffilz wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 10:36 pmLooks like you put your bonus skills in italic...Samwell Turleton wrote: ↑Mon Sep 28, 2020 9:20 pm I also updated the character sheet and posted a new image at the beginning of this thread.
Let's do color for known, italic for bonus, and bold for FIS. And bonus skills that aren't initial skills have a score of 0 remember, with a BCS of 1. Remember BCS is @floor(score / 5) with level added to Bonus skills.

I much prefer being told where I'm wrong by someone who understands the rules, no need to apologise. Please keep steering me right in future!
Would you mind putting this up on Google Drive? If you prefer not to, I can put it on my drive and give you edit access.
In Section 1104.0 WEAPONRY it indicates non-swords are of average quality, though it is optional for other bladed weapons to have variable quality, but Master quality should be reserved for swords. I'm happy to have non-swords potentially be of differing quality. One thought on the inheritance Sword Quality table is to roll for non-swords, but a rolled quality above average is dropped one step, so Master becomes Superior, Superior becomes Good, and Good becomes Average. This allows for the somewhat rare Good or Superior non-sword. Purchasing such weapons will require some role play to find weapon smith that is good enough to make an above average weapon who is willing to spend time on a non-sword weapons.A few notes/questions. I received a Masakari as a Bugei weapon, I rolled for quality, but I'm not sure I should have. Let me know what you think Frank.
Yea, that's fine.I spent a gold piece outfitting my guy, if this is not what you want, let me know.
This is a very good point. So far no one has offered a Ninja, we do have a Yakuza which isn't quite so problematic. I do want to allow some variety, but I agree that perhaps a campaign should either a Ninja campaign or a Samurai campaign... I'm not up enough on the culture to know what kinds of issues a Yakuza would raise.I would like to point out that including Ninjas in a group presents certain issues. Generally as eta, a Ninja would be an insult to other members of the group. Also, Ninja were used, but highly disrespected by Samurai and Ronin, in the groups I played in, we routinely killed Ninja (as well as Shugenja) when we discovered them. This lead to the end of my GM days because I allowed a Ninja into the group, telling them of the issues beforehand. They then used player knowledge to avoid discovering the Ninja. When I ruled that they had discovered the Ninja, they refused to agree. Group dissolved.
The Status rules look interesting, we'll see how it goes...I've never played with the status rules, and am not at all sure of how they work.
Ok, I'll put it on my Google Drive and let you edit it. Then you should be able to make updates without re-posting.
