Unari blows her candle out, sets it down and moves to the front and once she has targets shoots with her short bow.
Dread Ambusher, +10 move, +2 to initiative, free second attack at +1d8 damage
Favored enemy (Goblinoids), Advantage on Survival and Int checks concerning them
Lika's ears perk up at the chanting. Nimraith? Where has he heard that before? She pauses and starts to whisper to the others when Unari and Nella turn the lights out.
"What happened?" As the lantern relights the area he hears the twang of bows being fired. Lika moves to the nearby closed door and tries to listen at it.
OOC: He has a +3 to history not included in the roll above if that helps identify the name

Gruuthuk
Gruuthuk will make his way around the corner of the room, peeking inside. If he can see anything that presents more of a threat than a goblin to target, he will do so. If not, he will fire at a goblin.
Round 1
The group, aided with the element of surprise, proceeds to effortlessly and systematically slaughter the half-dozen goblins that now used to occupy the area:

Lika, still out in the side passage, halts at the closed door and listens... hearing nothing.
Xanlanan, confident in his recollection of history, fails to return any bits of information about Nimraith, the name the goblins were chanting before being lethally interrupted. However, two halves of a split wooden shield lie in out in the open in the room’s northwest corner and are easily spotted. Each half of the cloven shield has letters etched into it -- one half reads “Nimr” while the other reads “aith.” Together, the halves read Nimraith and likely the name of the shield's former owner.
A human skeleton -- the bones yellowed after the passage of an extreme length of time -- is held together by lengths of moldly string. This bound skeleton appears to have been turned a into a marionette and dangles from ropes attached to the ceiling. The goblins, prior to their slaughter, were observed to have been dancing around the decrepit skeleton.
From the adjacent room to the right, a deep, burly voice is heard asking rhetorically: "Hey, why they stop?"

Apologies for the delay, everyone. Hopefully things will proceed more regularly moving forward in the immediate future.
Sleeping in light armor has no adverse effect on the wearer, but sleeping in medium or heavy armor makes it difficult to recover fully during a long rest.
When you finish a long rest during which you slept in medium or heavy armor, you regain only one quarter of your spent Hit Dice (minimum of one die). If you have any levels of exhaustion, the rest doesn’t reduce your exhaustion level.
Baroness Nella nods succinctly at the quick and effective carnage and puts her bow away. She signals to Guuthruk and Lika, pointing to the door at the rear (north) of the goblin's chamber.
She steps out of the room and towards the chamber on the right, stealthfully adjusting her angle of approach to not reveal Unari and the others getting into their strike positions.
Once the others have had a chance to shift into place, she straightens up and responds brightly, "Ahh, hello! I thought to have a chat, but clearly see you are the one to speak to. Mind if I come in? I am glad to share a bottle of wine in housewarming if you are hospitable." She steps forward with her lantern, bathing the room in light and taking in its contents.
If the aarakocra has an opinion on the massacre, it's hard to decern. He spots Nella and Unari directing action and shrugs. She moves east along the corridor until he can see into the room where the voice is coming from. "It occurs to me that not everything in this dungeon may be hostile. Some of its inhabitants, having supposedly lived here for some time, may have some useful knowledge of the area."
Her face contorts into what could be deemed a smile. "Given the circumstances, this new inhabitant will most likely be hostile."
Lika will not attack until she determines that there is a clear danger.
"Why they stop?"
At Nella's prompting, Gruuthuk moves to the rear door of the goblin chamber in the northern wall and listens. He hears nothing.
Back in the hallway, the group coordinates how to engage with the source of the burly voice in the adjoining room. Once everyone is ready, Xanlanan will cast light on a gold coin, illuminating it with a colorless glow, then tosses it into the dark room and watches as it lands and circles to a stop, filling the immediate area with light.
Those peering around the corner observe a hulking, hairy humanoid carrying a massive Morningstar bend down and pick the coin up. "Thanks," it growls, placing the coin in a pouch at its waist -- ending any light provided from it.

A beastly face, with jagged teeth and pointed ears, peers out into the hallway in the direction from which the coin was tossed.

Parley "Mind if I come in? I am glad to share a bottle of wine in housewarming if you are hospitable,"Baroness Nella offers.
The hulking beast offers a toothy grin. "Come in," it says, waving the monk forward.

Lika
"A Party? Mind if I join?" Lika moves to join Nella. He keeps his hands free and open.
As the light illuminates the large creature, she lets out a low whistle. "Nice place you've got here."

Unari
Unari sticks to the shadows and prepares to attack in case he does.
Having seen the prowess of the archers of her company, Nella is confident in the cover they shall provide from the shadows if the worst happens. She steps forward with a casual noblesse oblige, straightening her expertly tooled broccade on her dress. She takes a moment to take in the full experience of the chamber, not just its toothy occupant, expecting to need to paint it from memory later.
"I am the Baronness Nella, or the Honorable Lady Ghent, should you prefer, and this is my avian associate," she says, looking for a place they might sit and she might rest her lantern and illuminate both the room and their conversation. "Thank you for your hospitality. What might I call you?"
Assuming no hostility in the response, she will then open the top of her pack, a custom bottle rack secured within. "I have several vintages... you look like a..." she places a finger on her lips and considers him. "...a dry red, yes? This is the vintage, then. A good year." She pulls a glass bottle free and swings her pack back into place. Deftly uncorking the bottle, she upends it to her lips, take a solid drink herself, nodding in approval, then extending the bottle to him. "Yes, this will do. To a profitable conversation for all. Perhaps you could tell us about your home, here."

Gruuthuk
Hearing nothing from the other side, THE BUGBEAR will open the door and peek inside.
