So, are we keeping Caxton as SGT and making Dubs and Voss 1LT?

I was wondering about shares. As joint founders it feels right to me that Frank, Jess and Prerna get equal shares. Currently, based on rank, Frank gets 10, Prerna 8 and Jess 7. I would be happy for Frank to take a cut to 8 to match Prerna and then we boost Jess to 8 so we match up. I may be worrying about this too much.

Voss can be a LT, and Dubs a sergeant.

The shares probably should be equal across all the PCs, just to make the math simpler.

Regarding the ammo - once we figure all of this out, we can calculate the ammo we need by the combat encounters we expect. If each encounter costs Cr5,000, and we want to plan for ten encounters, then we budget Cr50k for ammo. As the company grows, we recalculate the cost per encounter. It will make the logistics much easier to track moving forward.

We still need one more trooper to make the full 20.

If I understand book 4, then half of payment goes in shares and half as profit (this is usually after salaries are paid, but IIRC salaries are going to be covered by profit from the Bartizan). I assume in our case the profit will be used to invest in the business and pay back any loans. Is this how we plan to do things, or something different ?

Does everyone think 5% interest if reasonable on loans? Yeah, repayment plan based on the particular circumstances, in some cases, we might be able to pay the money back after the next job, which might be the case right now.

Give Beau to Jakob, if there's room. I don't know the background yet, but from what I infer, Beau has leadership but isn't stepping up to the role? If so, mabye Jakob can mentor him.

If you ever need to pull off an opposed daylight paddle across the river Waal at Nijmegen then Beau's your man. He will stand in the front of an assault boat in the style of Major Julian Cook 504th PIR, 82nd Airborne (Robert Redford in A Bridge Too Far) and look majestic doing it!

Everyone is issued a 9mm ACR with a grenade launcher and ammo, just in case.

I'm planning for full-out engagements where we are shooting up everything we have at the enemy. Arguably, we won't use all of it, but we also have to train with the weapons, so those costs are subsumed in the base cost.

The trick is to guess how many encounters we might have

Better to have it, and not need it...

Of course, that brings into question the compensation for ammo. My guess is that there's no extra payment for it, so being able to "live off the land" might be a topic to discuss. At least if costs start to outrun income.

Well, 16 people are issued ACR and up to 5 Gauss. Plus "Model's Own" accessories. Jess already has a 9mm ACR, Prerna has a selection of weapons...

We'll keep the PGMP and AutoGL, alright, but perhaps issue them on an "as necessary" basis rather than standard squad load-out. Don't need to haul that weight around unless we're expecting to use it. Same with the HMG's. Issue when required for the mission.

Okay, so I'll change the ACR assignments, and update Frank's loadout to a gauss rifle. That will make four of them all together.

e.g. at the end of combat we tot up that we have "expended" three mags from each of fire teams 1 2 and 3 and also two "volleys" of LAW from fire team 3. With four man fire teams that would be 12 mags and eight LAW.

Will that make the book keeping easier / less of a lumber?

Honestly, the cost per encounter is much easier to me. If you want to say we used "half an encounter" or something, then that's fine. It's one number, instead of trying to keep track of inventory. The only possible exception might be the tac missiles, since they're 5k per shot. Everything else isn't worth the candle to track it, IMO.
