Life is a roller coaster, if you don't stop to enjoy it then you may as well not even ride.

Ah, looks like the previous owner did not get rid of them before I took over then.Zhym wrote:I nixed those at the start of the campaign as one of those unbalancing UA extravagances.
My bad, change that spell for a simply prayer as they move on then.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
well at any rate we can test my theory out. Get closer to the girl with the sunsword if it glows brighter when you get closer to her she be undead my friends.

The Sunsword doesn't work that way. It's flaring or it isn't. It doesn't get brighter as it gets closer to undead.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
you're no help at all but i know you had it flare brighter once wraiths were really close so....gave the misconception. Never mind when she turns on us we will kill her.

Re: 7. There Has to Be a Morning After
Its always lit. It has two states: dim and bright. If undead are within 30', it's bright. Otherwise, it's dim. Anything I said about the sword getting brighter would have been when it switched from dim to bright.

that'd be what i was guessing meant undead were closer so is it currently bright or dim?Zhym wrote:Its always lit. It has two states: dim and bright. If undead are within 30', it's bright. The sword is currently bright. Any time I say it "flares," that means it's bright.

Re: OOC Discussion
alright. so that in turn means there is undead within 30' so she can be the undead we will find out if we are further from the caster and it is still glowing. brightly that is. if it dims and goes out we are all good.

Re: OOC Discussion
Well we could always move away thirty feet and let the sword dim (if it does) and then move towards her and see what happens!
Or present a lawful good holy symbol at her boldly and see what happens.
Or splash some holy water on her (by accident :p) and see what happens.
Or present some garlic to her boldly and see what happens.
Or we could just trust that she's an abducted maid from the village taken by the vampire and left to wander his castle freely and been shown the secret entrances and exits from the place - despite every other abducted member of the town you have come across who was chained to desks or locked in their rooms!

Re: OOC Discussion
Well we have been doing a pretty poor job of protecting the ladies so far. The first one got kidnapped, the second we sent out of the castle with some moron people from town. Maybe helping this one will restore our mojo. Oh and isnt a banshee female? Cuz she kicked out ass.
Re: OOC Discussion
You have no LG holy symbols. None of the clerics is LG, and you neglected to loot Vorkath's body before he disappeared.
Gertruda also had free movement. And it would be hard to clean a castle while in chains.
Your characters have no idea whether a vampire would care about garlic, whether presented boldly or not.
Also, you don't need to use ooc tags in this forum. The discussion above is in red because I moved it from the game thread.

well we did loot it but it was neatly placed on the bed and Nobody took anything. Since I was new to the party and nobody trusted me i did not take anything unless they said it was ok and to which nobody ever did so yes we never kept the loot and not someone else has it. That is on us.Zhym wrote:You have no LG holy symbols. None of the clerics is LG, and you neglected to loot Vorkath's body before he disappeared.

I was the same. New to the group I didn't feel I could just appropriate their fallen comrades stuff. I wish I had have fallen upon it like a rabid ghoul and to hell with them all now howeverGreyWolfVT wrote:well we did loot it but it was neatly placed on the bed and Nobody took anything.
